this thing is not a hotel, no service, no manager, no coffee, dirty toilets, small room, nasty and crazy fat blonde lady in charge was stressed so it was impossible to give a complaint. i do not recommend this place at all, it should cost...More
This place was super weird. There's no check-in desk -- you call a number and get your key out of a lock box. My room, however, was very clean and cute. You can hear your neighbors through the walls but I did get a good...More
We were travelling from Key West to North Florida. This hotel was on our way for one night only. Luckily. 'Historic' means 'old' in a bad way in this case.
The hotel is along the road so rather noisy. Also you can hear everything though...More
I was so worried this place was going to be a disaster. Reading through the other reviews made it seem like this was going to be the worst place to stay in the keys.
To my surprise it was the complete opposite! We were welcomed...More

Typically the winter months (December - March) are considered the tourist season, but in the Keys you never know because the weather is always so wonderful. Best advise go on line to find hotels/motels where you want to stay and check the rates now. AVOID the Tavenier Inn at all costs it is a smelly dump - I walked in the room, walked back out and LEFT, paid $117 for 1 night there (which I never got back) had to go down the road to find a room (very nice though at the Bay Harbor Lodge but the room cost $208.13 for 1 night). Best advise research places, prices and reviews NOW.
