This place is the only hostel in this part of Florida so when I booked the room I got nervous because I didn´t have another choice, like it could be the worst ever but I´d be stuck because everything else is crazy expensive. Fortunately this place is great! It´s rooms were small but clean and comfortable. The bathroom was connected...

Thank you for your feedback. If you think we were cluttered then...now we've got holiday decorations out!! We do regret that Tampa doesn't have a better public transportation system and keep hoping that it will improve with all of the other improvements happening now and in the near future. We hope to get you back soon!

We’ll be back. Central residential location, close to downtown and Hyde Park. Our trip was scheduled on short notice. We needed something affordable, quickly. My roommate is mobility challenged (multiple sclerosis). We asked for a private room with a private bath in this Hostel that also provides dorm accommodations. When Bruce and Katherine learned of Kim’s mobility issues, they purchased...

Bruce and I were glad to have had you gals...Maggie (the Hostel Hound) especially appreciated your stay and it had nothing to do with the pork chunks that you brought for her!! Hopefully you will get another chance to come back to Tampa and hang out a bit longer. Christine

Full of interest in every nook and cranny. It's no bigger than any residential home, but they make use of every square inch. Even so by building upwards and constructing a third story sitting area. It's the only hostel in Tampa and they make sure to keep the interest high. It's worth staying in if you are passing through for...

We have come a long way from our roots aprox 23 years ago when Mark Holland first got GP going...he started with his residential home and then acquired the residential home next door...both of which are what you got to experience with the Plymouth and Ola Houses. Thank you for choosing to stay with us and we hope to get...

I spend two nights in the Blues Room and enjoyed it very much. It is a quiet and peaceful place there you can relaxe and calm down. I had an amazing breakfast after a long night with other guys I never met before. We had fun while cooking in one of the kitchens. Also I came in contact with other...

Thanks for staying with us. One of the cooleo things about staying in a hostel is that you get to meet new people from all over the world and then form lasting friendships from that chance encounter. I'm glad to see that you were able to do just that. I don't think I was physically here during your visit (I...

This Place is a Must for Budget travellers and Fans of international ambience. The owner is a good storyteller and built the whole building with lots of Sense for Details. There is even a jacouzzi :) A Great Hostel with a warm and Adventurous atmosphere!

I just stayed there for one night 5/18, and was very pleased with my stay. The owners and other guests were friendly, there is a BYOB cozy outdoor bar and a nice kitchen. My room was nice and comfortable. I really liked the fact that you can make your own breakfast, and they provide the food and coffee! I will...

Thanx for staying with us! We strive to make our guests feel like they are in their own home and having them cook and clean after themselves sure is like being at home. We hope that you do stay here again and be sure to let friends know about us, if they are traveling through Tampa. Christine

I stayed at Gram's Place for 6 nights for Big Guava Fest and it was incredible! The owner Bruce and manager Christine are wonderful people - so accommodating and friendly, their hospitality made our stay wonderful! Some of the locals that would also come and hang out at the place were also really friendly. It's a great spot to meet...

Lavinia, We were so glad to have you guys here! The whole group that stayed with us during the Guava Fest was a fun mix of people from all over the world. Even though I'm unfortunately old enough to be most of your guys' mother, I couldn't help but feel in my 20's again with you guys around. It's guest's...

I had the most amazing time here. Everything from the decor (eccentric and cozy) to the vibe (chill and laid-back) and the people (friendly, fun, and super interesting) are so my cup of tea! That said, not unlike anything else, it isn't for everybody. If you're laid-back, like to socialize with people from all walks of live, and love music,...

You guys were fabulous guests and Bruce and always look forward to hosting the likes of you. The entire group of guests that we had that week blended well with one another and reminds me of that old saying, "We are all part of the same family"...it is true. I have often stayed at Gram's Place, spent time at the frequent barbecues and played loads of music there. It is an all around safe haven for travel in the heart of Tampa.
