I like breakfast at a hotel, and that’s been part of my reason for staying at Hampton Inns since they were created. Yet what you now get is a box of two boiled eggs, a wimpy bagel, tiny yogurt. No juice machine, waffles, scrambled or omelet style eggs, No biscuits and gravy or sausage. They could do better. Look at Jason’s Deli for example. The salad bar is a lot of Jason’s value proposition. 10 months into Covid, you can’t make your own salad but there is a person that will throw what you request onto a bowl or plate. You just point it out to the server. Hampton should do better. The lady that use to stay busy cleaning up drips and spills has not much to do. She could do it and with a helper during breakfast. But they chose (Hampton the brand) to recoil. I know there may be Health Dept restrictions but I doubt that’s the reason for the recoil. The room was only $85/night maybe because of construction renovation. The exhaust fan did not work so the bathroom and room was steamy after it’s use. I reported it but it was not resolved over two nights and no alternate room was offered. I guess they never thought to offer it. The renovation of the room is 4.5 stars ... pretty good. It’s the lack of effort to provide breakfast better (as I already said) and lack of ability to resolve the exhaust fan... that warrants a 3 star from me. They should be able to compete with all these new trendy Marriott and Laquinta/Wyndham brands. But this one was cheap so I guess I got what I paid for.…
This Hampton Inn has one of the friendliest group of staff I have experienced. The lobby is warm and welcoming and the rooms are clean. Breakfast has a great selection and both the front desk and housekeeping staff made our stay enjoyable.
Nearly a 5 star rating. GM was terrific and most of Front Desk Staff too. 99% of the rooms and hallways are now complete , having had a total renovation and makeover. Our King Studio with sofa was modern, roomy and comfortable with good lighting and plenty of drawers , closet space , work desk , outlets and USB ports . Microwave and mini fridge came in handy . The lobby and breakfast area were still in disarray, but we saw good progress being made while there Jan 4-7, 2012. They did offer a limited , but sufficient breakfast and coffee 24/7. When complete , it will be even better. Same with business center. Didn’t check on fitness center . With knee and back issues , I always try to find lodging with a pool for my aquatic therapy. The hot tub was a bonus and there are newer chairs , chaise lounges and cushioned couches to relax in. It’s a wee bit awkward to find the first time , so be sure to follow directions carefully. It’s a little easier coming in the back way via 47 Terrace , off St Rd 7 ( 441) . Good location tho, right off the Turnpike, with a Publix and several restaurants and shops nearby. All staff observed mask protocol and hand sanitizer stations were available. ** Housekeeper Nancy was a real delight , always cheerful and smiling and helpful. We plan to return soon . …
As a business traveler and a Hilton Honors Diamond level member who stays at Hampton Inn hotels often, this location is disappointing. They only have 1 front desk person at the front who I feel sorry for as they are overwhelmed by themselves. That aside, the rooms at this location are significantly outdated. This is the first time I stayed at a Hampton in that did not have any sort of electric outlet or charging ports on the night stands or even on the side lamp. They have small refrigerators in the room but no microwaves. I was told that microwaves are given on request and they were currently out. There is no password for the WiFi so anyone can sign on, but what’s worse is that you have to reconnect every time you leave or go to the bathroom.
The staff and accommodations here were excellent. The location was close to the main highways and there were great places to shop and eat nearby. The hot breakfast had great options and the complimentary warm cookies a 5:30 were delectable. People were waiting on them to come out (they were worth the wait). Great property and wonderful staff!
