My experience at Lazy Lakes was very poor. In all my years of RVing, it is the only park I asked for a refund and wanted to leave the next day (they refused). Much of the park has a smell of rotting fish that we found intolerable. The permanent trailers (50% of park) are in poor condition, with trash everywhere....

My dogs and I stayed at the park. great Pool area, friendly staff. Would stay here again. Not sure about fishing as I had zero luck both days that I threw a line in. A lot of permanent residences here, they were friendly as well.

This place seems great ...at first. There are some very nice and friendly guests but the place is also full of questionable people. They allow aggressive dogs (our pomchi was almost killed by a pit bull in the park) regardless of the damage they inflict. Lots of trash and old vehicles parked around the resort. There is no real views...

This place was very deceptive in their advertising. The people were very very friendly, but this place has more permanent trailers and people (more than half of residents) who live here full time than transient RV's. In fact, the owner has bought approximately 20 trailers and installed them on all the prime lots and rents them to people by the...

We spent 10 days here and enjoyed our visit very much. It's a nice little park with easy access to the walk/bike trail and the bus stop. Thirty minutes to Key West and all the fun there. Twenty minutes to Bahia Honda State Park. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool and sites are clean.

Once again, we visited the Lower Keys to participate in a 3 day Fishing Tournament. Most campgrounds in the area were either booked, couldn't handle the size of my RV or seemed very expensive for this time of year. For example, the neighboring KOA was nearly $100 per night. Lazy Lakes has summer rates at just $37 per nite. It...

It is located at MP-20 on Sugarloaf Key, about 18 miles from Key West. It is not a high-end campground; but more of a working man's getaway, with down-to-earth people staying there. Our campsite backed up to a body of water that appears to be a man-made lake: In fact, the back of our RV was about 4 feet from...

I've read some of the negative reviews here and I have to say if you haven't driven through ALL of the other campground RV establishments in the Keys, you have NO business rating Lazy Lakes. Lazy Lakes is by far the most spacious sites available. Blue Water may top the privacy list but it also tops the cost at almost...

Paid way too much for our stay here. Cramped, cluttered and old RV park that does not look like the photos on the website. I think the worst part is the constant smell of sewage, abandoned and broken cars and RVs and overflowing dumpster. The woman managing the "resort" is very pleasant and works extremely hard to overcome the faults...

What a dump! They advertise cable tv - nope. They say leash law for dogs - nope. When asked about the cable tv situation the response was "sorry". In the middle of swamp. Restrooms and laundry were both dumps. Don't believe anything their website tells you. The only semi good thing was the folks who reside there were all very...

“Since this is NOT a "hotel", check a map of the area; or, go online to see a plat of the campground.”

“Call ahead of time and ask for help on what would best suit your needs. I only used the Rv for sleeping and getting cleaned up, I was OUTSIDE at the pool or enjoying the weather.”

“A spot by the water sure is pretty. If you book at the height of the tourist season, Nov-Apr, everyone else will be doing their best to get the choice spots as well.”
