The Old Colorado Inn is a nice hotel with a history dating back to the 1920's. It's very well preserved and the rooms have a lot of charme. The owner is very nice and explained its history on a small tour through the hotel. The only negative points were the ac which was rather noisy and the mattress which was...

Pascal, thank you so much for your kind review. We are glad you enjoyed the history and charm of our hotel and Historic Downtown Stuart. Thanks for the feedback about the a/c unit and the mattress. In many of the suites we have installed new "split system" a/c units which are extremely quiet and efficient. In the near future we...

I travel 2 times a week and almost never take the time to write a review, although this beautiful, family-owned Inn deserves that respect. After one night, the Old Colorado Inn has become one of my favorite places to stay. It sits right in the heart of Downtown Stuart, the old building is gorgeous and full of history, and my...

Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review of your experience at our hotel. Without support from people like you who understand the importance of supporting family-owned businesses, we would not be able to compete with the big corporate chain hotels. We are glad you enjoyed your short time with us and we hope you will...

Short Story: If you are looking for a clean, friendly, convenient place to stay in downtown Stuart this is your place. Longer Story: On my birthday we decided to head south for a night getaway. We were looking at the traditional hotels to stay at but the Old Colorado Inn kept popping up. We have never stayed in a Bed...

We spent a night in Stuart after reading about it in Coastal Magazine. We stayed at The Old Colorado Inn. Owner, Stephen Vitale, was fabulous, upgrading our efficiency to the Grande Suite. It was magnificent. If you are looking for Holiday Inn, you are in the wrong spot. The quaintness of this establishment cannot be compared to a modern hotel....

Location is prime, right in the hub of beautiful downtown Stuart. River walk strolling to restaurants galore there is something for everyone. Thank you Stephen for the warm welcome...

Do you like... Little/no privacy in the room = super cozy? Loud bathroom fan? Brown spots on the bottom of a shower curtain? The sounds of landscapers, trains and trucks in the morning? Bathroom the size of a cruise ship shower/toilet - out of the Stone Age? Fine china, silverware and utensils from the Dollar Store? Manual dishwasher = you?...

What a gem. The owner Steven was very accommodating with our check in a little early. He gave us a little history of the building and some fun tid bits about the area as well. It is in the perfect location right in the middle of everything and a close walk to dozens of shops and restaurants in Stuart. A...

On a last minute whim, my husband wanted to "get away" for the weekend, myself...not so much. I had been on the road frequently with work and the last thing I wanted to do was travel more. Long story short, we compromised on a vacation close by, and a place I can bring my dog. Thanks to Trip Advisor, we...

Such a wonderful small hotel with a delightful balcony / deck on the second floor. One can usually tell the quality of ownership by the attitude of the staff; 5 stars for both. The large room feel so cozy. The continental breakfast, preordered on arrival, hanging on door knob was perfect. Being right in the center of Old Stuart, the...

The Inn is perfectly situated to walk downtown Stuart and to use as a base for exploring the area. The building is older, so bathroom was tiny, but sufficient. Everything was clean and comfortable, although the bed was soft for my husband's liking. Bagels and muffins, along with juice, coffee, etc. are delivered each morning, which is a nice touch....
