The rooms and some of the kids play areas could do with a little tlc. Our carpet looked a bit unfinished and had a stain or two. But our in laws room was absolutely fine. That said your arn't going to be spending a lot of time in your room. There is a great huge outside space in the hotel grounds including your own balcony. The bar area is nice and food in the restaurant was ok. Childrens play area there are two outside and one dedicated room inside and the inside bar area also had some toys children could play with. Which having kids would be good if it was raining or two cold to go outside. There are a few good walks all with good views and a tower on the grounds that give you a nice view as well. WiFi does work in the rooms and beds were fine.

I was invited to a wedding and I flew all the way from Israel this resort is in mid Slovakia +1000 meters above sea level In the winter a very nice sky resort ...in the summer full of activities ,mountain walk, cycling, hiking and so on. The restaurant offers local goodies. Rooms over look the mountains and the sky area. Very friendly with budget rates value for money is great.

This hotel is situated in a really beautiful location in mountains. The views are simply great. During winter the ski resort is directly at the hotel. There is a lot of entertainment for kids outside - mini Zoo with horse, goats, sheep, chickens, huge sandbox, sports playground... and also inside there is big playroom, etc. Simply said - a lot of fun for kids. Now the dark side - this hotel used to be luxury... 30+ years ago and some of the things there are actually true socialistic originals of 1970's - 1980's. Namely the windows - there is no need to open them to get some fresh air because the huge gaps will do the job. I think it can be quite fun during the winter. The rest of the furniture and the rooms looks like renovated in mid 1990's so again - a little bit below average of what you usually think of while looking at 3* hotel. But - the hotel and the room were clean - really clean. And now the cuisine - well the same story - stuck in the 1980's which is actually really shame. Two cups of rice + chicken leg / no sauce... does not need any more comments.

The hotel is in a very nice location. It is a good place for a families with little kids who learn to ski - the slopes were just fine for this purpose and in comparison to other ski resorts nearby the prices were more than friendly. The rooms were quite small and the building pretty outdated and it really needs some fixes. There is an indoor play room for kids and a small pool with nice warm water. We also liked the food served for breakfast and dinner. The wi-fi was terrible.

Was quite disappointed with the bed. Like rock. No wifi in bedrooms. Clean but tired. Got lost following gps coordinates! Ended up in a village with a blocked road that could not get to hotel. Eventually found it. One night roads froze to sheer ice. Hotel was useless refused to sand the road until the next day. So was forced to leave my vehicle in road where it got it by sliding into me. Along wth a dozen other cars stranded on the road. Treacherous. After trudging a kilometre in the snow I lost my respect that I was holding onto up to that point. Would not recommend it. Bar tender was kind.

I visited this place for business in Sept. 2015 and found this place and view such a beatiful. The place is middle of nowhere next to the nature. Too bad I didn't have time to hike or any other outdoor adventure. Must be nice place in winter time as well.

We were lucky to have a room with a huge balcony with a view over a mini ZOO, which was really nice. Rooms are basic, would need a refresh, but everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom pretty small but OK. Rooms are not very big as well but offer much storage space. The best thing about this place was breakfast. Much better than expected and really delicious (included some local products which were great)!

Just the perfect place for a short holiday with kids, there is everything you need to keep the small ones busy and under supervision at one time. Staff is very friendly, very likely the biggest asset of the hotel - they were not stressed by our small once at all. So I would recommend to everyone who likes short treks to mountains and needs to keep his kids busy - they rent bicykles, there is a small zoo, playgrounds all over the hotel area.

Our company have had a team building in hotel Sachticka. Hotel is situated nearby Banska Bystrica / appr. 8 km / at the saddle of the Pansky diel hill/. Located high in the mountains /960 m above sea level/ the hotel and its surroundings is an admirable place for all those visitors who like natural scenery. Pansky diel is the utmost peak of the Low Tatras. It offers a magnificent view to the surrounding countryside. If the weather conditions are favourable it is possible to enjoy the beautiful view of the Low Tatras, the Kremnicky and Stiavnicky Hills, the Big Fatras. There is a forest path leading to the picturesque village of Spania Dolina dominated by its church originating from the 12th century. The surrounding is breath taking. Such a nice place! To hotel it self - a bit outdated but nice. Stuff nice and helpful. But when it comes to rooms - a nightmare. Old furniture, TV remote did not work, no fridge, cold in room/ heating totally old and not function. Bathroom - even worse than the room - small, no space, etc. But room had a nice terrace with beautiful view. Restaurant offer variety of meals which I personally have enjoyed, breakfast as usual, some eggs, some cheese, some hams, etc. In SPA center is small pool, but water was quite cold. All in all maybe an average hotel, but with nice, helpful stuff in amazing surrounding for those who love nature or enjoying skies in winter time.
