We loved everything about Hotel Ranola! The building is charming and right off of Main Street in downtown Sarasota. It's walking distance to at least 30 restaurants and Maria Selby Botanical Gardens. The SCAT line to the beaches is also close by. The owners and staff are so, so friendly and helpful! We arrived at our room after checking in...

We just stayed at the Hotel Ranola and had a great experience. The staff were all so friendly and made us feel so comfortable - they really go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The cute touches include free beach chairs, beach towels and bottled water. The location was great to explore Sarasota and very close to...

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Ranola for a few days in March. Terry and Dale really know how to take care of their guests, and enjoy what they do. As others have said this is an art deco hotel, not a chain with plenty of character and nice artwork on the walls. We were given a free...

If you're looking to be within walking distance of the many shops and restaurants in downtown Sarasota, and don't want to pay an arm and a leg, this funky little boutique hotel is a solid choice. It's a former small apartment house one block off Main Street which has been converted into nine guest rooms. For Sarasota during high season...

Hello. Thank you so much for your positive review. We are thrilled you had a wonderful stay in our eclectic historic Art Deco hotel in the heart of downtown Sarasota. We are convenient to walk to great restaurants, cultural happenings and the bay. As you graciously mentioned the Ranola is a small nine room hotel that was an apartment building...

The owners and staff at this small property go out of their way to make sure you're satisfied and happy. This really makes the stay pleasant, despite some flaws. Rooms are like a small apartment - with kitchen, and dressing alcove - All adequate. But The hotel is old, and the rooms modest - Could use new linens, etc.

We are locals but decided on a weekend visit to downtown Sarasota. The hotel is in the perfect location to park and walk the city. Close to great restaurants, theater and exploring unknown places in the city. The owners and staff were so accomodating. Loved our room and kitchen with Kuerig coffes, teas and sizeable frig. A great experience and...

If you like retro things, particularly Art Deco and a feel of the 1920's and 30's , don't miss this terrific little hotel. We stayed for 5 nights, and couldn't be more pleased. The owners and all of the staff will make you feel welcome, indeed. And the location gives you easy walking to the movies, the opera, theatres, the...

The Ranola is in a wonderful location to walk to the historic district of the city as well as restaurants, shops and even a Whole Foods. From the moment we arrived we felt that this is not your cookie cutter Holiday Inn. There are a dozen rooms in the entire building, all different. We were upgraded to a king sized...
