Just off the main road through Sanibel Island, but felt like we were really on vacation! Quiet (even with many families staying there), had a turtle pond out back, so felt isolated; couldn't see road or other buildings from our window. Room very clean, as were grounds and pool. Walking distance to little store, Dairy Queen, other restaurants. Not far...

The rooms were nice and clean and the Staff was very friendly. Lots of little things to do on the grounds such as swimming, horseshoes, bean bag toss, canoe and bike rentals, tetherball and bbqing. They also provide beach chairs if you want to go to the beach (12 min walk) and toys for kids. We brought our 2 little...

Our second stay here and it was just as good as before...friendly helpful staff, spacious rooms, convenient location. It is kept nicely and we wouldn't hesitate to go back. There is an old fashioned feel to it giving it charm and cosiness.

We've just returned from a long weekend spent in one of the cottages. A wonderful little place that most people would pass by for something newer. Not cheap (nothing in Sanibel is) but reasonable. They provide everything you need, fully stocked kitchen, televisions, wifi, and even beach chairs and towels (toys, too!) They have a great pool that was always...

We visited Sanibel this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was my husband's birthday and being photographers, we wanted to be close to Ding Darling. The Anchor Inn was the perfect spot for us. It's centrally located on Periwinkle Way and within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. We stayed in Room 14 which is the farthest one...

I had a last minute trip to Sanibel in the middle of season, so the choices were limited and the prices were high. Based on decent reviews, I decided to stay at the Anchor Inn. It is only 2 stars, but the reviews were generally good. I was willing to pay over $275/night. Unfortunately I was disappointed. My main complaint...
