We were looking for a nice place to stay at St Petersburg and luckily found Dickens House! The owner Ed is a really friendly and extremely attentive host. The "Perry-Snell" room was spacious, very clean and furnished with love for detail. We felt as if in a different time and world. Breakfast was superb, too: loads of fresh fruit, eggs,...

We stayed two nights in the Dickens Suite which is an extremely comfortable room. Wonderful bedding, large bathroom and sitting area. The bathroom has great quality soaps, shampoo/conditioner and the towels were very plush. The home was very well maintained and very clean. Ed, the inn keeper, was such a gracious host. He thinks of every detail you may need...

My husband and I had such a great experience at Dickens House. Ed has done an amazing job in creating a warm & inviting, yet private B & B. We stayed in the Perry Snell room - very comfortable, very clean, very up to date. We were fortunate to have a tour of each of the rooms and have decided...

An overnight experience that will be repeated very soon! Ours was The Cottage room, a suite filled with whimsical details and cozy comfort. Ed is a most endearing host and a very good cook! He was very helpful answering all questions with insider's tips and entertaining anecdotes. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, served with subtle touches of elegance that I...

Unfortunately we only stayed one night - end of our trip :-( Therefore, we only had the wonderful breakfast once. Besides all the positive things mentioned in the recent reviews (all of which are true), I want to point out the good location: many good restaurants in walking distance. You can also easily walk to Central-Ave. or take the troley...

My wife and I returned to Dickens House in April 2012 after having previously stayed here in December 2010. If anything, it has improved over its previous excellent hospitality. Ed has added some new twists to his fabulous breakfast selections, and is even more gracious in helping us figure out where to eat or to visit. To top it off,...

Wonderful B&B within walking distance of downtown St. Pete. Amenities are comparable to a 3 star hotel, but with a lot more character. Rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was nicely done and they easily accomodated some food preferences.

We were here for the St. Anthony's Triathlon . Ed is a delight. He welcomed us at the curb, gave us many tips about the area and told us about the history regarding the home. The guests that weekend were all involved with parts of the event. Ed made sure we all had the foods we were used to having...

Just returned from our annual visit to our daughter and grand daughter in St.Pete. This is the 2nd year in a row we stayed at the Dickens House. The house is breath taking. Ed has completely restored this C1900 craftsman house to its original splender. what a great job he did. It's a perfect location, easy walk or very short...
