We stayed at Alexander Homestead in late Jan. 2009 for 2 nights with our main goal to visit the historical city of St. Augustine. Our innkeeper, Bonnie, exuded southern hospitality and helped us explore the city for the short period of time we were there. Our room was spacious and clean, and had its own private bathroom. Alexander Homestead is...

This was our third stay at the Alexander Homestead, and each stay is more wonderful than the one before. Having lived in South Florida all of our lives, The Alexander Homestead offers a peaceful getaway that seems thousands of miles away from our hectic day to day lives. Bonnie's hospitality makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. In addition, the house...

Bonnie is the best! We love St. Augustine and wouldn't dream of going there unless we stayed at the Alexander Homestead. We can't say enough about how nice the accomodations are and how well Bonnie takes care of her guests.

This was the first time my wife and I have ever stayed at a B & B. The accomodations were very charming. The home was suberbly decorated and the ammenities were outstanding. Comfortable bed and pillows and just a nice relaxing stay. The breakfasts were very good and the whole trip was quite a treat! Bonnie is an excellent hostess...

We had an enjoyable weekend in St. Augustine and the accomodations at the Alexander Homestead B&B were wonderful. Beds were comfortable, rooms were of a good size, all the ammenities. Cocktails at 5:00 were amazing and the breakfast was very, very good. My only complaint was the small, unheated bathroom - but it was a very minor inconvenience. Bonnie does...

My husband and I stayed at Alexander Homestead for two nights for our third anniversary. Not only was it a romantic atmosphere, the food and staff were outstanding! It is a great locale off the beaten path; serene and quiet. Bonnie even went out of her way to get AAA service for us when our car battery died. She made...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Entering the Alexander Homestead through the picturesque front porch from the garden walkway you can hear strains of classical music and spy a small book of Emily Dickinson's poetry in the formal living room - rich with antiques and romance. This is a perfectly appointed inn, with five of the most inviting and romantic bedrooms that hint of lavender sachets and pale hues of vintage opulence. You'll return time and again to the Alexander Homestead! ... more   less
