Mount Edge is a lovely place for a relaxing time in the Blue Mountains. It is in a picturesque spot overlooking the Blue Mountains heading down to Kingston and the sea. There is plenty to do, with hiking up to the army base at Newcastle and then onto Holywell Park, tours of coffee farms, paddling in the nearby river or...

The guest house is wonderfully situated at the edge of the mountain as the name suggests. The view from each room and the lovely, comfortable porch is great. The rooms are very rustic. The outside stairs to my rooms would have benefitted with a railing to prevent falls. The food is excellent. I looked forward to dinner every day. The...

A friendly guesthouse in the mountains over Kingston. Rooms are fairly basic with corrugated roofs and open windows but pretty much all of them have great views of the surrounding valley. The main house is more substantial with a comfortable lounge and a fantastic terrace to sit out and look at the view. There's also a cafe with good food...

This guest house is a dream, the view from the sea, a healthy and Varied food and very friendly and lovely staff. The accommodations are comfortable and reasonably priced. Assistance with tours, attractions, taxi rides, etc. by Robin and Michael are excellent. I stay here for sure. Thank you for the wonderful stay!!

My wife and stayed here in late February 2011, but I am just getting around to writing a review. Maybe it's because I was slightly traumatized by the experience... Long story short, somehow this property has managed to make its way to #1 in the B&B category for Kingston. How they've done this is a mystery, but it's not deserved....

Things just work at their own pace up here in the mountains. If you understand cottage culture, you can appreciate the simplicity of the accommodations - simple structures with corrugated metal roofs, gaps in the walls and stunning views! The walks are great and the food is super fresh. The restaurant can be quite busy on weekends, so if you...

Mount Edge conjures visions of a secret mountain get-away, nestled amongst coffee-plantations, rastafarian communes and accessed only by serpentine mountain roads. The reviews (both online and in-print), will make you drool over the Jamaican-High Mountain fusion cuisine that is farm-fresh and always beautifully prepared. The fact of the matter is -- you must be high. The rooms are ramshackled sheds...

Don't expect any luxury, but fear not. Staying at Mount Edge is an epic experience for the open minded traveler. You'll experience real Jamaica, as Michael Fox, the place's owner, makes sure to have the right blend of guests and visitors at all times. Food is ridiculously fresh - gathered every morning from the field - and extremely well-prepared. The...
