We recently returned from a visit to Florida and found a beautiful spot in Ponte Vedra. The Lodge and Club at Ponte Vedra Beach is a beautiful resort on a pristine beach. The hotel itself is small but elegant. The room we had was a junior suite with a fireplace, a balcony

Dear Robogator0, Thank you so much for the kind words. We are very fortunate to have a team of dedicated professionals who call The Lodge & Club home. As such, you have the pleasure of being the recipient of their exceptional service efforts. We are just as fortunate to have such an ideal location. As you have pointed out, we are close to St. Augustine, an easy trip from Jacksonville Airport and if you are a golfer...I like to call us The Lodge between the greens. TPC may have the most famous island green, but our Ocean Course has the first island green in the country and was chosen as the sight for the 1939 Ryder Cup. The Ocean Course has remained a tournament condition course ever since and The Lodge is only 1.5 miles from each! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and look forward to welcoming you back home on your next visit! Our very best toes in the sand regards, C. Thayer Kern General Manager

Hello! Both have pools. The pretty oceanfront pool pictured is Adults Only at the lodge, the family pool is across the street at their fitness center and spa building. There are other pools, including an oceanfront kids’ pool at the Inn, you have access to both locations. My advice, if traveling with small children, stay at the Inn. If not, the Lodge is nice and more quiet, IMO.

Check out is 12:00. We can usually arrange a late check out if there is not another guest scheduled that day to occupy the same room. We can always store your bags and keep your resort account open until midnight the day of check out. Sincerely, C. Thayer Kern General Manager

Cab fare can vary based on traffic, but the Lodge & Club is approximately 30 miles from the Jacksonville Airport. We work closely with a car service that we can set up for you ahead of time. For 2 adults, it is $93. Beach chairs and umbrellas can not be reserved ahead of time. Chairs are $15 per day and umbrellas are $15. The beach is public, but there is no public parking to access it so you will mainly find guests and club members on the beach at the Lodge & Club. Breakfast is served from 7-10:30 and it is an ala carte menu. The Lodge & Club is set in a residential area. The closest restaurant off property is a approximately 3 miles away. There are several options available on property as well as our other resort, the Inn & Club. At this time, we do not officially have a time frame for any construction. Being that we are set in a residential area, noise is generally kept to a minimum. If you are looking for the quietest locations, our reservationists would be happy to make your accommodations away from the pool. We are about 30 minutes north of St. Augustine, which is a great day trip. There are several options available for dolphin and sunset cruises, carriage rides, deep sea fishing, etc. Jacksonville and its surrounding areas is welcoming to all.
