We had a house fire and the Red Cross put us up here for about 3 nights and then our insurance company extended our stay for awhile. This hotel is so clean, the staff is so friendly, and we never went without towels, etc the time we were there. Every time we came downstairs they would greet us and asked how we were doing. To have that kind of service now a days is not always the norm. I definitely rate them a 5 star.
We stayed Dec 4. No running water in lavatory. Called and told no rooms available to move. Late and we were tired from driving all day so we agreed to stay. Offered discount to stay. Young lady working front desk was very nice. She called manager who called out maintenance person, who came with no tools just to make sure water valve was on. It was - so he was unable to do anything. They scheduled repair for next day. Never received discount. Called front desk again next day. Manager not available on Saturday but they did take message and information about issue. No manager response to date and no discount. Pd $261 full reservation price as Hilton Honors member. Also reported next day that the mixing valve in shower did not work correctly. Hot water ran in tub but when turned on shower, you had exactly 4 seconds before water switched back to cold. The one thing that did run -the commode off and on all night, very loudly. We usually always stay through Hilton honors. Room was nice but plumbing issues were a bit much. What put it over the edge for us was that the manager never followed up. I know this person was aware because they were notified at the very beginning, as the young lady working the front desk was not certain what to do. We were in the room next morning getting ready to check out. We had do not disturb sign on door. So we were called to see if repairman could come in. So I know there is a record of need for repair. Issues happen but it is your customer service response that makes the difference. In this case, it was non-existent.…
We booked a king room for $128.25. Unfortunately, we had a clogging problem (reference Geico commercial) as the people in the room above us walked loud during most of our stay. I think this property is a different brand hotel that was converted into a Hampton. The room was clean and everything worked – except for the toilet that continually ran. The fitness center was decent and had dumb bells and a multi-function weight machine. As expected during these times, breakfast is al a carte items that can be carried with you. This was not the worst Hampton in which we have stayed, but it is certainly nowhere near the top – and especially for the pricing.
This hotel has easy access on and off the interstate. We were warmly greeted by a friendly staff. It is a very well maintained property both inside and out. The lobby area is spacious with a nice beach theme. Our room was clean and comfortable. Due to the recent hurricane that hit the area, we had did not have a working television that evening. A small but nice outdoor pool area is located on the backside of the building. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. When traveling through the area, we would stay again.
Hotel: Great * Very Clean *Friendly Staff * Great pool *comfortable queen beds * very good water pressure in shower * Near Restaurants Just Okay: * Breakfast was just okay. I realize we are still in a pandemic, but we’ve stayed in several hotels with a better breakfast selection🤷🏻♀️. You could sit in the lobby for your meal but we never saw a microwave to warm the sausage biscuit. We would stay here again. We most assuredly recommend this hotel.
