Sad to report happy travelers but this is a place to avoid at all cost...$212 cost. A friend booked me in to this hotel which I stayed at before without too much issue. As many things in Pensacola they do some time get hit with storm damage...but this damage is going on better than 5 years and it's still not fixed. Roof with plastic tarps...siding falling down...signs of rotten wood. Check in was okay...the kid was nice...and able to chat but they didn't have me down with a reservation. Had to make 2 calls to my friend that booked it to get anything going. Then they only had a card to hold the room so I would have to check in on mine. I was told that's easy to reverse later in the stay. Walked down the freshly painted hallway to the room. Took a while to figure what switch controlled the lights...never had that before. Once they came on several roaches tried to scurry out of view. I found dented walls by the headboard of a very basic bed...stepping torn from the corners. Carpet so smooth you could strike a match on...thats a pun. Several hairs in the shower from a prior guest. And only a single towel and wash cloth. The bed for what it's worth was not uncomfortable...only a couple of sheets and two well broken in small pillows. You could not fully secure the door from the deadbolt. Every time you turned it the door jam would actually buckle. The small fridge was clean and in good working order. So that's a plus... The next day with friend with me we tried to fix the bill. The woman behind the counter...I think we interrupted her dinner...said it can't be done since it's the next day. I know this to be false from working in hotels in the past. I was more concerned with my key that was no longer working getting fixed to bother arguing with her. I was just hoping my belongings and medications were still there. And they were...no house keeping...no fresh anything. Luckily the stay was about over and the noises were down from the previous night. At checkout it was just hand the key off...no how was the stay...any problems. Nothing. I know with the changes due to the pandemic no one wants to work...I get it. But this is just a sad place these days. Even worse this is/was a poplar stay for those on military training...still fine for that if you want to know what hotels in Russia are like. This one would be perfect. They claim to be in the Choice Hotels portfolio...if this is what they have I will not make a stay again with Choice. Happy travels folks.…
Stayed here for a night and it was a great experience. Enjoyed the ppl. and room was just okay but they are renovating. Would definitely stay here again if so had too. It’s a lot cheaper than the beach hotels or resorts. There is a grocery store across the street along with wine and spirits store for all your favorites.
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. My room had zero chairs and nothing worked. The fridge was old and couldn't keep anything cold. Water from the fridge leaked all over the floor. There were zero hangers in the closet, and we couldn't get any extra towels. The only towels we had were hand towels. The shower water temperature was difficult to adjust and we couldn't turn the water off fully. The floors were sticky and dirty. We will not be coming back here ever. A Motel 6 or 8 would have been better.
These Rooms Are Far From What's Advertise...They Are Run Down Dirty And Smelly Bugs in the room broken appliances broken blinds.. Over Price..I Have Never Ever Seen A Hotel In This Bad Of Shape.. Unfortunately Everything Was Booked We Had To Go Out To Get Cleaning Products Pray And Make It Work..
I booked this hotel based on the previous ratings and the pictures on the website which appeared to be exactly what I needed for this trip, nothing too fancy but nice. Unfortunately, this hotel was a let down. I gave it a one star rating only because the price was good. Nothing else was of the quality I expected when staying at a Choice Hotel. First of all, I reserved a room with a king bed. The bed was NOT a king. The kitchen was not stocked with everything specified. We were also given one towel and one washcloth for 2 people. Second, our second night there we came in after 8 and our key cards would not work. When we went to the front desk, the lady was not friendly at all and claimed we had a balance and that's why the cards didn't work. When I told her we pre-paid, she then tried to say because we didn't leave our cards in the envelope they gave us that our cell phones deactivated them. My husband questioned this the next day with the manager, and he assured us there was no balance due from us. Third, housekeeping only "cleaned" our room once in the 4 nights we stayed there. They did not leave additional towels or make up the bed. Fourth, I killed bugs in our room, one being a cockroach, and the coffee maker looked like it may have had mold in it. As someone who has stayed in probably 100 hotels in her lifetime, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I would tell everyone I know to spend the money and stay elsewhere.…
Went to Pensacola Florida on 6/22 to see our son get his Navy Wings, booked a hotel room on Expedia and the site pictures looked wonderful, got to Pensacola stopped to pick up our son before check-in, showed up at our hotel it was nothing like the pictures Expedia posted. The roof was off covered by plastic, the sign was all broken, the lobby stunk, get up into our room, big, hole in wall, mold on ceilings, the table still had ring marks from whatever the last ones was drinking that was never cleaned, the room stunk, the carpet had stains all over it, the door wasn’t locking properly and NO SMOKE DETECTOR. We ran to a local restaurant to eat because we were very hungry and found another hotel within minutes, went back grabbed our stuff took pictures and went down to the front desk and checked out of the ROACH MOTEL.…
This place is filthy rotten and dangerous. Do not even think about booking in. The pictures will speak for the state of the place. Bare electrical sockets mould and mildew rotten filthy kitchen cabinets few pieces of cutlery and crockery you stick to the carpets .Pool is filthy full of insects and other stuff the pool area has 2 tables 4 chairs and old plastic white table that is all broken all the kids from the neighbourhood just come on in and use the pool staff at front desk dress code inappropriate
Everything in this hotel was dirty. There were stains on the sheets, hair in my towel before I used it, and the mirror was obviously not cleaned before my coming into the room. Do not recommend staying here
Driving in to the parking lot for our 4 night stay set off alarm bells. The structure looked like it had been condemned. The roof was covered with what looked like a gigantic depends with edges anchored just over the roofing. And it was ripped, showing damaged roofing underneath. Large swaths of siding were missing. The bushes and shrubs had gone feral from lack of trimming and care. Inside the lobby gave a bit of hope. And the staff were pleasant and helpful. The hallway was dark and shabby; the carpet was as threadbare as a kid's favorite blanket and was dingy and crime scene soiled. Our room, again, offered signs of hope. There was a little utility kitchen with stove, fridge, a microwave, and coffee maker. Utensils and kitchen ware was a mishmash and incomplete. The Queen bed sagged in the middle so you were sleeping on a cross grade. But the best was yet to come: we were awakened to POUNDING on our door at 12:20 am, like an FBI raid. The maintenance guy was searching for the source of a leak(not ours). We checked out the next morning. Want to be clear, staff was nice but overworked, and with no support. This was a glittering example of slumlord operation.…
i booked 3 days..non refundable. drove by location.. it looks like it is very storm damaged and needs to be condemned. very sketchy people all over the property.. i could smell marijuana. didnt even feel safe getting out of my vehicle in the daytime. I read reviews and have decided to forgo my money in favor of a safe clean place to stay. tried to call to tell them i wouldnt be there but no one bothered to answer the phone.
