The Room was very clean Rm.182 ,and the front desk was very nice. The room had a funny smell like some cleaning agents. And this big stain on the ceiling, was by pool was well landscaped. If it was not for a few things ,not bad.
The conditions we dealt with: The tub dripped constantly and though you can't see it in the picture the tub spigot is an inch away from the wall, allowing water to get in the hole and get behind the wall causing potential mold issues; the hair dryer was barely hanging onto the wall; several stains in the carpet (the pictures did not come out well, so not included); 2 stains in the ceiling(not sure if it was mold or what it was); hole in the wall where the entry door knob hits; their web page advertises "Guests enjoy USB ports in their rooms", there were none in our room. Worst of all the boiler for the hot water went out and we could not take a hot shower for 2 of the three nights. When we asked about the water the first night it occurred, the desk lady was very apologetic. However, the next morning when there was still no hot water, I talked to the Assistant General Manager to see what was going to be done about it. He basically said they had to wait on the part, and they have no idea when it will be fixed. The solution?: He said he could give us 20% off for one night, even though we were to be there 2 more nights. I said 20% was unacceptable for a basic necessity like hot water. It's not the same, as say, the pool not working or something like that. I felt 50% off for our last two nights was fair for a major inconvenience like this. 20% is no more than they offer if you book a room early. He NEVER ONCE APOLOGIZED for the issue or inconvenience to us. He said he would talk to someone and see if he could get more off and would let me know later in the day. He never contacted us. The next morning at check out, the desk person told us this is what she was allowed to give us, and showed me our receipt. They gave us our last night free, of course it was the least expensive night of the three we stayed! After seeing the condition of the room and the unapologetic attitude of the AGM, we will not stay at this hotel again. Obviously, the placard card left in the room that discusses Quality Inn's commitment to their guests means little to this hotel owner.…
I have stated this property multiple times and this is the first time I've ever been treated so horribly. After driving from Louisville Kentucky where I currently live proceeded to check in for my two-night stay as I always typically do My card was already pre-authorized which no one had the authority or authorization to do so that began to make the check and process horrible and then Jen the elderly lady behind the front desk to appear to have some serious special needs issues proceeded to demand I give her a $200 cash deposit because I was a so-called local due to my driver's license being from the state of Florida which I do own land in Pensacola so of course my driver's license has that address on it at this point I was extremely irate I told her to refund my card after she already pre-authorized it with not my approval whatsoever and then I told her to cancel the reservation I even went as far as asking if I can get her my registration to my vehicle which is licensed in the state of Kentucky which I live in again I have never experienced such a horrible situation at this property I get some of the locals can be quite disruptive but how dare she treat me that way I am a platinum diamond choice privilege member I asked if Ashley the general manager would be working tomorrow morning which I do plan on calling her and reporting the incident although I do appreciate the fact that Ashley has hired someone with severe special needs but she should not be anywhere near customer service horrible horrible experience almost to the point where I feel like I need to report this to the better business bureau and the Pensacola traveling association, this sets a very bad tone and presence for anyone trying to vacation or anything else of that nature.…
After reading all the negative comments, I was pleasantly surprised on the condition of the hotel. Property is well kept and well lit at night. Found that the rooms were clean, NO BUGS, air conditioners were quiet, water pressure excellent and room was very comfortable. Because of the covid, breakfast consisted of cold cereal, granola bars and apples available at the front desk. Free coffee and hot tea were offered as well. This hotel did receive some damage during Sally and it looked like the management is taking steps on fixing most of the problems. Please note that this hotel has two floors and no elevators. There is a DQ and gas station across street but other than that nearest place to eat is 3-4 miles away. Would stay here again when in the area.
I’m traveling on business for the recent Hurricanes, and landed upon Quality Inn Suites due to the price. That’s where I went wrong, my room smelled like mold, and old water. Customer was very very rude..especially the little girl working at night time. Tv is 4 seconds away from exploding, and the sound sucks on it. The computer lab station is a joke, and don’t get me started on the water pressure in the shower. The Mgr at this location obviously doesn’t care anything about the QUALITY in QUALITY INN SUITES, and I will NEVER, and also make sure my peers, colleagues and counter parts, know to NEVER, stay at quality inn suites on scenic hwy...the hurricane really should’ve blew down the whole hotel and not just the sign...TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
