My experience - this was supposed to be a quick weekend trip to relax and enjoy. The hotel room had been paid for in advance when reservations were made. Upon our arrival that first night, we drove up and we mentioned to valet parking staff that we were checking in. He asked if we had reservations because they were completely booked. We said yes and stated that we would be self parking. Once we arrived to front desk, I could tell that there was something wrong because the staff member looked overwhelmed when I told him I was checking in. He asked for my ID and took about a good 15-20 minutes to tell us about our room/stay for 2 nights. Since they were overbooked, he put is up in the Presidential Suite for the night. However, there was a wedding party that would be coming in and they needed that room the next day. So I would need to talk to a manager on staff the next morning at around 11am-12pm, to see about my actual room for night 2. At this point it was almost midnight and so I said ok. The suite was nice but it was a really awful inconvenience to us because the next day we were forced to alter our plans for the one full day we had in town, just to stick around the hotel and wait to see if we could get our room. At around 11am we were told that it would be a few hours before a room would be available. We were not able to unpack anything and instead took our bags back with us to the car and went to eat and waited for a call to let us know we could come back. We had to do stuff nearby and then returned to “check-in” again so that we could go to our actual room and leave our bags. Our room was clean and comfy but we could barely get any sleep that night because from 1am to about 3:30am there was constant noise in hallway and rooms nearby. People with music in hallway and singing. The experience just not great and we will most likely not be back to this hotel. Pros: Hotel is within a couple of miles/driving distance of nice shops and restaurants. The front desk staff member that helped us first night and the parking staff was friendly and helpful. Clean rooms. Cons: Not a nice area of downtown Orlando for walking. They had overbooked rooms for our stay. During my check out I asked to speak with a manager and was told he was arriving later and that he would call me. I’ve not heard back.

We have stayed here numerous times. However we were greatly disappointed this time. The suite was very large and consisted of two rooms. The living room kitchen combo was very comfortable. It had a really big granite island between the kitchen and living room. The kitchen cabinets were empty. There was no stove but the room had a micro, dishwasher and small refrig. Again there were no dishes, utensils, cleaning items, etc. The bed and bedding were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large with a tub, a separate walk in shower and nice vanity. I did not like the swinging doors to the bathroom as there was no privacy. I also did not like the opening between the bedroom and bath that had no glass but louvered shutters. This was a problem when one tried to be quiet while using the bathroom in the middle of the night. So why did I give it two stars? If you want a hot shower in the morning, u r out of luck. While there was hot water for an evening shower, there was no hot water in the morning. The sink likewise did not have hot water in the morning. This happened both mornings we were there. The hotel gave us two free breakfasts but it did not make up for the inability to properly wash up in the morning. After not being able to shower, my partner tried to make coffee but the coffee machine did not work. We then went down to the breakfast buffet which was abbreviated compared to their prior buffets. The cost was 18 dollars. In the past, there was an omelet station. There was no such station. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, potato cubes that tasted like they were made from frozen potatoes and some type of open face sandwich. There was oatmeal, a few pastries and bread and a few apples. There was no fruit salad. There were little pancakes that were not freshly made. I gave two stars because if u don’t have hot water and pay a large sum for the hotel, the hotel is a bust. We will be looking elsewhere to stay when we return to Orlando. I would also like to add that u would never know there was a pandemic at this hotel. I did not see staff or mist guests west a mask or social distance. It was business as usual. (We wore Mask’s as a courtesy to others).

The people at the Crowne Plaza Orlando Downtown are second to none. They tried to do everything in their power to make our stay comfortable and stress free. A few exceptional people, CJ/AP and Allen during the delivery of a baby grand piano for a wedding that was taking place that weekend, could not have been more helpful, efficient and quick to think on their feet. Will come back many times over! The outdoor pool and hot tub a huge plus and it felt like you were in a secluded part of the world that was just yours!

We had great accommodations. Bedding was comfortable. Maria Mogica (sp), housekeeping, welcomed us to our floor and took very good care of us. Also, Oceam, shuttle driver, was very accommodating and provided rides as we needed them. Restaurant and bar provided good and reasonable food.

The location and safety of the area were questionable. I was not familiar with the area when I booked the hotel. We stayed with a reward night as we passed through Orlando to our final vacation destination. The hotel rooms are small and in need of some renovations. For future stays, I will look at other options.

The hotel given its age is well kept. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. A huge shout out to Roberto the Hotel Manager. He is very kind and cares for his guest. I would stay here again! Lovely Hotel. The hotel features a heated pool and hot tub. We did not use however it was beautiful. If you should rent a car from the Thrifty car rental , located at the hotel, be aware they tack on insurance waiver fees without your consent. This happened to us. Do not let them charge you for unnecessary services. Read your contract before you sign for the car. My husband and I are fighting these charges through our credit card company. Thrifty Car Rental is adjacent to the Crown Plaza but is not of the same company. What oughta be a service to the guest has been a bit of a Finacial hardship for us. We are not holding the hotel liable. We do want the hotel management to be aware of the situation we are dealing with. I am sure other people are dealing with the same. The sale of added on services result in commission pay for the representative who sold it.

I travel for a living and the company I work for chose the Crowne Plaza Downtown Orlando as our home away from home. It’s a nice hotel and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I like to mention that Dee, who works the front desk is especially nice and helpful. Also Briana who is in housekeeping keeps my room clean is really appreciated. Also the Valet drivers oshea, Josh, and Dominique are my favorites they get us to and from work on time. Thanks to all of them.

I stayed here for a long weekend. The hotel itself is true to budget with only two ice machines on the same floor in the whole hotel, ice cold water showers often, and unhelpful staff. But Maria the housekeeper made our experience! If you stay at this hotel, request her!

I was waiting in line for almost 15 minutes trying to check in. The staff at the front was rude and seem to take their stressful day out on me. I stated I wanted to check in and they said they couldn’t find my confirmation so I showed them then the man proceeded to throw his hands around after I told him that I digitally checked in. Normally, I’d have to give my ID and the card I’m using to the front desk but apparently that wasn’t the case and I felt extremely embarrassed in front over 10 other people waiting behind me. He stated “oh so you need your room keys, not to check in” then the other lady there took over helping me. I get up to my room and next to me in the room was a man having some mental issues and screaming and crying for at least 30 mins at a time. We called security and security came right up but the guy got silent so there wasn’t much done about that. I’m now sitting scared in my room to leave because I’m not sure of the state of mind this man has. Im attending a wedding here in Orlando and the whole bride and bridal party are staying here. Im not able to leave because I can’t find another hotel close by on short notice nor do I want to leave the event. Im really disappointed with this stay and I wish I could have experienced the same as others in the great reviews that are left. I understand everyone is stressed out but that was terrible.
