We are DVC members and the Polynesian is our home resort; we love this resort and stay whenever we can - we even got married here in 2015. This stay did not disappoint, it was as expected. Our room was a DVC Studio in Tokelau, the rooms have been refurbished to a beautiful standard. The room was clean and there is a lot of space in the studios and it’s great that there are 2 bathrooms! The staff are always willing to help and are always friendly. The resort is clean, the transport is smooth running and easy to use. Disappointed in Ohana meal this time - wasn’t as good as we are used to, but maybe it was just one of those days! Either way, the Polynesian remains a firm favourite of ours!

This property has changed dramatically over the years. It was originally a 'small', laid back resort with large open areas. It has evolved into a large, noisy , resort - one side directly bordering on Disney Magic Kingdom Transportation center. Over time, the resort added large number of rooms without increasing restaurant and lounge capacity, We found it interesting that Disney deleted daily maid service even at their Deluxe resort(s). Over the years, Disney has increased daily room rates much higher than the cost of living. Their service staff remains friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed the easy access to the monorail(s). It is much more convenient than Disney's bus service. All things considered, we feel the Polynesian Village is a poor value. We found Disney's moderate resorts to provide a significantly better experience and value,

So This was my first trip to Disney and I had huge expectations. So I want to try and keep this review of the hotel and not the other parts of Disney. Upon arrival the resort looked beautiful and clean. Attempted to get a bell hop for our bags (since magical express is no longer magical you need to handle your own luggage) was told it would be about 5/10 min wait. (strike one). Had done the online check-in but wanted a room closer to others in our party (the request was not honored via My disney experience. The front desk accommodated our request and switch the room in a matter of a min. (thank you) No issues with our magic band allowing us entry. The room was clean and near the pool per our request, Nothing special to report but NO MICROWAVE, just a mini fridge. Attempted to use the pool but weather was not permitting. We then decided to try and do walk-up reservations to Ohana (since we tried in vain every day for 60 days to make reservation) We were able to get walk up reservations within a hour. was going to get a drink from the restaurant bar but line was 7 people deep. (crazy crowded) Food was good and plenty of it. Service was good and thankfully our server told us that if our little one didnt like the items on menu they have "kids" menu as well (mac and cheese, hot dogs and nuggets) Our friends at a different table were not informed of this so they spent a lot of money on food their kids didnt really eat. The adults did enjoy everything. We used all forms of transportation to and from parks that the POLY offered (best part of staying here) the bus, monorail and boat all had short wait times and were clean. Used the pool several times(lava pool only). The children in our group couldnt get enough of the waterslide. A big shout out to the lifeguards who jumped in twice to pull our 6 year old out, because he forgot to wear his goggles and freaked about water in his eyes (he knows how to swim would not allow him otherwise). Kidding aside the lifeguards are on point they are very attentive. The pool bar must be understaffed. We were at the pool 4 days and saw a waiter once, anytime you wanted to order you had to go up to the bar that had 3-6 people ordering in front of you with only 1 bartender (strike 2) You are able to view the fireworks from the pool area which was nice. They have a boat parade as well that the kids enjoyed. They also had kid games/activities that they enjoyed participating in. Plenty of towels available but seating can be tricky at peak times. Capt. Cooks had ok burger but menu was very limited so much so that we decided to order pizza from Pizza Hut and have it delivered instead. Housekeeping only stops by with fresh towels every other day and thats all they do (dont even take away dirty) had to call for more toliet paper kinda crazy for the money your paying. Overall its a beautiful, clean hotel but the amenities/service I expected for the cost was lacking. Might want to check moderate priced resort and spend the extra $$$ in the park.

I have to say this was one of my favorite vacations. I’m pretty sure every time I come to Disney , my family will stay at the Poly. We had a room right by the Ceremonial house. It was a 2 minute walk to the monorail and boat transport. Our room was very clean and the mouse keepers kept us well stocked on towels and other essentials. Even got the 50th Joeffreys Keiurug pods!! The pools areas were fun and clean. Only complaint the Oasis hot tub jets did not work properly. The counter service and to go at Cooks was hot, fresh and delicious. Overall I have no complaints and can’t wait to return.

This was our first time staying at the Polynesian Village Resort, but I hope it won't be the last. Our stay was perfect in every respect. The property is beautiful with lush tropical plants, well-kept landscaping, and the little touches that show attention to detail. The room wasn't huge, but was big enough for the two of us. It was clean and quiet as well. Our family felt fortunate to be able to get three rooms together on s second floor hall of the Moorea building. Staff, or "cast" members were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed seeing Nicole's face every morning when I walked to the Ceremonial Hall for coffee. The pool and the little waterpark were great for our grandkids. The hotel is convenient to the Magic Kingdom and is on the monorail line. If you want a ice walk, there's a path that goes from Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian, and on to the Polynesian Village. The food at Captain Cook's was also very good, and very easy to order through the mobile app. It was a wonderful vacation for us and I'm thankful to the Polynesian Village staff for their dedication.
