Thank you, Hilton! I can not thank Hilton and the team at Orlando Buena Vista Palace for keeping us safe and busy during the storm. We booked the hotel for five nights during Hurricane Irma. As soon as we arrived, I asked about power and the hotel said they had generators and that they were stocking food and water. Great! The pool is beautiful, and the location is spectacular. I highly recommend. When the storm came, we were locked inside the hotel, but what the hotel did was absolutely amazing. They used their convention center to organize a movie theater, to set up a playroom for kids, a play room for adults and huge places where they served breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet. The hotel was packed with kids, families, ancient people, dogs, but all employees were…

We have 500 people here at a conference. My room is well appointed and clean. Paint is not fresh, some cracked tiles. Carpet is a bit worn. Many other conference participants are complaining about mold. This hotel served many hurricane evacuees last week and they allowed guests to bring their pets. I'm a pet lover but would prefer common areas without stains and allergen pet dander. As participants of the conference we were offered early arrival and late departure additional nights stays for a "highly discounted" rate. The rate we were offered is higher than what is being offered on trip advisor right now. Service by the pool was sub par, and there were very few people there. Had to ask for service took 30 minutes for a drink and some chips and salsa. Had to find someone to get…

Checked in early and the said they had a room ready at the front desk, on the 8th floor, I head up with my kids, swipe the key card and the room is still occupied! I am totally horrified (as are my kids). We head back to reception, and they apologize and blame the computer system. and give us another room on the 11th floor facing the atrium and with a view of Disney Springs. We go into our room and we can hear people talking in the next room (there was an adjoining door) and they could obviously hear us as they started knocking on the wall when we were talking. Also, in the bathroom there is no shower curtain and no towels or bath mat. So back down to the lobby, we are given another room on the 11th floor, fireworks view. We head up AGAIN, and the room is right next to the…

I have traveled extensively (Hilton Diamond among others) but have been too lazy to write a review, good or bad. It took a lot to spur me into writing this. Took our 3 year old grandson to Orlando from Tampa Bay. Picked Hilton BVP because we had stayed there once before. Our room was 2122. First thing my wife said was "this room smells moldy". My sense of smell is not so good, I said "we were only there one night, can you live with it" so we did. That was a mistake. Came home late that night after the Disney thing with a tired boy. We eventually got him to sleep on his own blankets. We had a glass of wine on balcony and started to get ready for bed. Annie calls me and says "all of the bed linen is wet". I thought it was because the A/C was down so low (the hotel did this). But…

Spent 3 nights here due to Irma. The hotel is nice and walking distance from Disney springs. Area has few good spots to eat besides Disney springs.Got a pool and lazy river but did not get the chance to check it out. The downside was our room . Now I don't know if this particular room was on the list for repairs and was not available to guest at first. But I assumed due to folks fleeing South Florida they made it available to accommodate the influx of guests. The wall had a stain, looked like someone shook a can of coke and then sprayed it on the wall. There was no in room menu, magazine (except one), mini fridge had no drinks In it. You know the typical stuff you would normally see in a hotel room especially at a Hilton. The shower head was broken. You either had to hold the…

The Hilton has just recently taken over this hotel and they sill need to make major changes before it meets the standards for a Hilton. Misleading advertisement such as leave your room and take the elevated walkway to Disney Springs. Not happening. it is a 7 to 10 minute walk to the walkway. The suites are not close to the hotel, a five minute walk from the lobby. There was mold in the shower. The biggest problem, not a Hilton problem, was that we had to call security twice to come calm down the fighting and shouting by the room next to us. They finally arrested the man the second night. Food at the first floor snack shop was terrible. I will stay at the Hilton across the street where I have always sgtayed.

As a Hilton property this location has everything we have come to expect from a stay at Hiltons all over the world. We appreciate the attention to detail and friendly service from all staff members. Location is the best you can get with views of the firesworks and Free bus transport to all guest areas around Disney. Pool and lazy river with poolside drinks and lunch was a great experience.

Had to evacuate during Hurricane Irma and headed to Orlando. Was lucky enough to get a room at the Palace! We were in the company of many other evacuees from families to nursing home/assisted living residents to dislocated dogs and cats. The hotel went out of its way to make everyone feel safe and comfortable. Bottled water and food were always available. Movies (complete with popcorn) were set up in one of the conference areas and another area was filled with games for young and old alike! Peggy Palfy and her staff were outstanding! Provided everything we needed and lots of little extras that we didn't! Truly angels here on Earth looking out for our safety!

I apologize for the service challenges experienced, as this certainly is not indicative of the level of service our team strives to provide to every guest, even under extraordinary circumstances like the advent of Hurricane Irma.
