I would love to recommend this hotel, I will definitely stay here again, exelent service, the room was clean, breakfast simple but great, it is 15 min from Universal walking. Very quiet which is great when traveling with babies.
The Hotel was under construction and this was not mentioned or noted on website when booking. I am a loyal Hyatt member and NON of the amenities was available in this hotel. Please note the staff was very apologetic and accommodating. But the management and Hyatt should advise before booking.
Staff was really friendly and helpful, but the room needed major upgrade, from AC being to noise to curtains not fully blacking out the sun. While my stay for 4 days no one ever went to clean the room. TV channels was a big plus at least.
The lobby floor and the 6th and 7th floors were under construction during my stay. They said they're updating all the rooms slowly a floor at a time, so if you go, check what floors they are working on before they give you your room number(this happens M-F 9-5 I was told, so if you're working from your room, be sure to note this). Also, there is no option for a hot breakfast so be sure to plan for that. They do provide microwave breakfast sandwiches, bagels/poptarts and a toaster, and fruit, but this is not what their website lists and I was expecting a lot more. You're essentially told upon arrival that you can use the Hyatt House for their restaurant/bar and lobby but apparently NOT the hot breakfast bar? Had I known about the construction, I would have spent the extra money to just stay at Hyatt House. The woman who checked me in was very flippant about my frustrations as I'm sure they deal with people who are upset about this all the time. The 2nd day, when I requested to change rooms because I could hear loud construction happening directly above my room, the front desk clerk(a super kind gentleman) gave me information on what was happening and gave me extra points on World of Hyatt for my trouble. However, this overall was not a very bad experience. I spent almost all my time working out of the room at the neighboring Hyatt House. The rooms need updating, which they're obviously working on, but that was the least of my issues honestly. Until renovations are over, I would not stay at this hotel again.…
From our first experience checking all the way through to check out, we were so happy with the entire staff Special shout out to Aaliya who was working the check in desk and couldn’t have been more amazing, kind and helpful. The hotel is under renovation right now but that didn’t deter from the wonderful experience we had. The location is excellent, the hotel room was clean and comfortable and the entire staff made us feel welcome. Thank you!
Stayed at Hyatt Place many times and it never disappoints. The staff is extremely nice and the room are clean and spacious. I recommend this hotel for all types of travel. The breakfast is very convenient and the location to Universal is spectacular. It is near the highway so any Orlando destination is close by. Highly recommend this location
Check-in was easy and the young man that checked us in was great, professional, caring, and great sense of humor and helpful. Upon check-in we were told of the remodel taking place. Not once during my communications was I told there was remodel taking place. Actually told by one of the gals on my call..."we have an amazing beautiful property" . The room was very clean but bathroom is very small and tight,
Rooms are not updated and looks very run down the staff is awesome hotel it self I book the wrong one it was supposed be for Hyatt house which I was very disappointed with the Hyatt house will never stay there again
As of May, 2022, this hotel is under major construction! Unfortunately they are still open and their web site doesn't disclose that they're under construction. The entire lobby area is shut down, you check in in a narrow hallway on the side of the hotel. The "breakfast" is served in a small meeting room and is very minimal with no hot food. Just cereal, yogurt and a few packaged pastry items. It's awful, we would not eat there. They do have urns of coffee and tea. There are 2 elevators, one is dusty, dirty and covered in red tape. The other is normal, but the crappy one always seemed to be the one that shows up. At checkout, we exited the elevator & the room opposite was under construction but they had left the door open & it appeared No one was there.! If a child walked into that room they could have been injured. The room was not up to typical Hyatt Place standards at all. The bathroom was tiny & cramped, with about 2 inches between the door and toilet as you open the door. The sink area is open to the room. The water pressure & temperature were good though. The springs on the couch were totally worn out, not comfortable. The shuttle to Universal doesn't stop at Hyatt Place, you need to go next door to Hyatt House to pick it up. The pool was open & seemed OK. But my opinion is Not to stay here until the renovation is complete sometime in Fall 2022. Call the hotel first to ensure construction is done! The Hyatt House next door looks beautiful. The Holiday Inn 2 doors down also looks lovely.…
Hotel is under construction. Lobby, bar and restaurant closed. No buffet breakfast. None of this information was on their site before we stayed or while we were there. Staff did not tell us we could go next door to their sister hotel to have a full breakfast and use their bar/restaurant ( I found out we could use it 4 days into our trip by walking next door to make shuttle reservations). This information should have been made clear before we arrived.
