The Boardwalk Villas are one of my favorite places to stay at WDW. The main reason for this is because of the location to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Both of which you can walk to. The downside of this resort is the lighting in the rooms. I love bright lights and lots of natural sunlight. I have stayed in several rooms that the natural lighting was fine but the artificial lighting was dim. As a matter of fact I have actually purchased higher wattage bulbs in order to make the room bright in the evening-makes it a lot easier to read. I will be returning to the BoardWalk Villas.…
Love the Boardwalk at Walt Disney World. The resort is very convenient to Epcot, has great nightlife including restaurants, a piano bar and dance club. The resort has a northern atlantic coastal feel and there are plenty of activities available. Staff is always fantastic but what else should be expected from Disney? Rooms are always well maintained and clean. The only drawback is the weird clown slide at the main pool - unsettling at best, creepy at worst. We just avoid the main pool and enjoy everything else the Boardwalk has to offer!…
This is our hotel of choice when we stay on Disney Property, we are big Disney fans, have been to Disney 25+ times are part of Disney Vacation Club so have stayed at most of the Disney Hotels The hotel is in a great location with excellent access to both Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. we always walk to both but you can catch the boat. We loved this place before it was refurbished and love it more now. We generally have a studio which has a big bed, sofa bed, pull down bed and table, it will sleep 5 but it would be crowded. There are bigger rooms at other hotels and there are hotels where parking is closer, but you cant beat the location. There are long corridors to the rooms, this hotel is big. There are lots of comments that there is a long way to walk to your room, this is Disney, you will be walking miles round the parks . From experience we always ask for a high floor and have a river or pool view as it can get very noisy on the Boardwalk when the nightclub closes. If it rains and you dont have Valet parking you will get wet getting to your car, but the location is the best.…
I spend half of my WDW trip at this resort (4 nights). I was here when Dorian closed the parks for part of the day on the 3rd of September. The resort exceeded my expectations. Very quick check in, nice bedroom with balcony, perfect for the three of us. Although not as stunning as Animal Kingdom, I got the Boardwalk for a great value. The Hotel is nevertheless beautiful, as is the Boardwalk itself. 4 nights is enough time to enjoy some of the activities, we loved the magician, the pool, and the character interaction at the Boardwalk. I had one of the best ice creams ever at Ample Hills! The pool (with the - possibly scary - clown) was fun, and so was the large slide. Transportation was ok, but we spent most of our time at Hollywood studios, so we would get a Lyft for less than 4 usd / return walking - 15 minutes (you can also walk to Epcot). Mind the heat, as returning at night is great, during the day it might be a nightmare. The slightly negative aspect of the resort is the lack of onsite dining options, but you have a lot of restaurants nearby. Another great Disney resort that I would highly recommend, particularly considering the cost, as I paid a total of 680 usd for 4 nights.…
not a fan! We are HUGE Disney fans. 30 plus visits in 24 years. We have stayed at 8 of the resorts. Boardwalk is a great location, which is why I give it 3 stars (it is a 5 star LOCATION) BUT, the staff is not nearly as friendly as other resorts. Bell services were rude. The studio has the smallest bathroom I have seen in any studio. You can hear your next door neighbors (something I have only ever encountered in one other resort, that being the Contemporary). The bed was not comfy. The resort is extremely spread out. I will not come back. Beach club FAR exceeds this resort across the lake!…
