Great and convenient hotel I recommend this hotel. It is clean and convenient. We stayed in room 315. The carpet was clean, a/c worked( a tad noisy but no biggie). This hotel has a shuttle to and from Universal Studios. It is near a main road and there are many restaurants nearby. I would stay there again.
The hotel appearance is good overall. The lobby area and dining area(complimentary breakfast) are well maintained and clean. The room we had was up to date but needed a little work in the bathroom. Caulk in the tub seemed to be sloppy and a little moldy. One problem we had was with the wifi. In our area it was not working and several complaints to the front desk didn’t help getting it fixed. Parking is another issue. There are not enough on site but they do offer free parking in a structure about a block away. It is very close to Icon Park which offers dining other entertainment
As another review states, they do indeed have a mold problem. I had mold/mildew in the shower. The toilet in the bath room was cracked in half and caulked back together. Mold on the ceiling. There was hair on the lamp when I arrived, microwave did not work. The lobby is disgusting. I could not get a wifi signal in my room. I asked them for an Ethernet cable, and they would not loan me one. Breakfast is a joke, unless you like stale bagels, watery eggs and chewy sausage. I am a Titanium Elite Marriot member, so I get to see a lot of Marriot properties. I can not believe they allow this to go on. At 180 dollars a night, it is an embarrassment to the Marriot company.
We had an exceptional time the entire staff was great and helpful. Personally we want to thank Tanya she was accommodating and very serviceable! Thank you Fairfield, we'll see you guys again definitely!!!
I can not even begin to tell you the horror that this hotel is. I love Trip advisor because it gives you a diverse amount of opinions. I have written several myself because I believe that success should be celebrated and shared. It does not happen often enough. That being said, I am appalled at the low level of customer service to the dangerous conditions of the room I was assigned. I started off by listening to not one but two different guests check out after a day or less due to mold and ants. What?? Ok. Then there is an issue with my checking in since the reservation was in my husband's name and he was home while I am here for our business. So I have to call him so he call Marriott and get it straightened out. I was not thrilled but this person was kind in her delivery to any of the guests. She was on the phone with a guest and watching her rolling her eyes and hear the nasty tone in her voice was horrifying. We all know that person on the other end of the phone who you can just hear how much they hate their job. There were 6 other guests listening to her and watching her slam the phone down. So my husband gets things straightened out. My associate and I go up to our rooms. The musty order was strong. So I look around and no ants. Great. I sit on the bed. The mattress must be 30 years old. It was sagging and hard at the same time. The sheets felt like Scott toilet paper. I walk in to the bathroom and it is dirty. The sink was covered in dust. Then I see the tub. The bottom is covered is stained brown. There is mold all along the edge of the tub. Then my associate comes in and looks at the mold in the bathroom and asks if I saw the mold under the soap dish. I had not. When I saw it I immediately called Marriott and got the heck out of there! I will be attaching pics for you to see that I am not exaggerating in any way. This place should be shut down. It is not safe for people to stay in. I am a diabetic and if anything happens to my feet, I could possibly lose a toe or get a very bad infection. We are Titanium Elite members. We are completely loyal to Marriott. They need to take a serious look at this particular franchisee. We are not right next door at the Element by Marriott. What a clean and modern hotel. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it and will be writing a separate review. Learn from our mistake. Do NOT book here!!!…
I will not be recommending family and friends to stay here. My granddaughters brother says this hotel is "notoriously vile". As soon as we walked into the hotel, we were greeted with a fowl and rancid smell. The rooms did not have any washcloths. No cleaning services were provided. This includes: beds were not made and trash was not disposed. When we inquired at the front desk, we were told that cleaning service was per request. Especially during COVID, rooms should be cleaned appropriately , not per request. I stayed at this hotel with my friend. We did not anticipate having another guest with us. Turns out, there was a big fat roach in the bathroom. We paid for two people to stay in the hotel room..... not three. Customer service called another hotel staff member to pick up the roach. No disinfectant was used to cleaned area. Overall, customer service was unacceptable and non-existent. Like I previously mentioned, I will NOT be recommending this hotel to anyone.... Absolutely NOT! Stay somewhere else unless you want to sleep with a big fat roach.…
This has been the worse hotel experience I’ve ever had. I should have seen these issues coming when checking in. I went to my rooms to find that my rooms didn’t have enough towel sets for my family of 6. The rooms had a combined total of 3 towels and 1 wash clothe. The bed had a dead roach on it which by the way is so discussing. The room was below my standard and not properly equipped for guest. Early this morning around 1:30am your clerk could be heard yelling at a guest and the police was called because clerk Gen allegedly threatened a guest. She almost became combative with the guest! Her behavior was so out of line and unacceptable. As pervious stated in the subject, this was the worse hotel stay ever!
The check in was very slow upon arrival however it was because only one person was at the front desk . The room had a funny smell the linen although it appeared to be clean i donot think it is changed as often and that is after each guest leaves. I found buggers in the linen it was so gross I ended up sleeping on the sofa for the duration of my trip only becasue I was there for a business trip and they were full. It is in a great location but I would not recommend
Stayed with my family of 4. Great hotel, spacious bedrooms, room were clean and prepared for us. Quick check and check out. Thanks Eugene for helping with late checkin. Great location, 5 minute drive from Universal studios. Definitely recommend to family and friend.
I am a Platinum Bonvoy and booked a room here for my son and his girlfriend who were visiting from Ohio and spending his birthday at the parks. I called the hotel with some questions and spoke with Tanya at the front desk. She was warm and friendly and I mentioned that it was my son’s birthday. When they arrived after spending a long day enjoying Universal Studios, they walked in their room to find a surprise Happy Birthday sign, card and cool towel art animals on the bed! Thank you so so much Tanya for making my son feel like a million bucks!!!!
