amazing stay...room was nice (needed a mircowave). Loved seeing the animals from our balcony. Staff was top notched (the best). The room was a little small for 4, but is manageable.
Quick check in and we were off. The gentleman met us at the door...More
What could be better than sitting on the savannah with a glass of wine, a plate of cheese and crackers and a herd of animals below you? I can sit on the balcony and watch the giraffes, zebras wildebeests, etc. all day. I've visited with...More

When you say "up close," just realize that from your room, you will never be really close to the giraffes. There are electric ticklers that keep all the animals away from the buildings. The best place to get as close as possible is Arusha Rock. My last couple of visits it seems that the keepers are putting food there, and the giraffes can lean over the ticklers to eat it. They are then just a few feet from the thrilled guests.
