Very convenient location, clean, friendly and beautiful resort. However, it is in need of a remodel compared to many other Disney resorts we visited. It is supposed to sleep 5 but sofa bed is NOT made for a child >age of 12 & neither is the pull out chaise lounge. My (21/25 yo) daughters came with us and we thought they would be okay with the pull-outs in the living room but they are not comfortable & not large enough for anyone > 5' tall. The pull out sofa was adequate for only one 5' tall 120# person only. We did not mind the scratches and dings of furniture/shower, but they REALLY NEED to install make-up mirror's in the bathrooms! I am also 5' tall and the bathroom mirror is almost 2 ft away from me when standing at the sink. This vanity size is nice for many toiletries, but I had to stand on my tip-toes to put my contacts in every morning. I decided to use the desk mirror by the bedroom window to insert my contacts but at night this was very difficult due to the lack of adequate lighting. Why doesn't this beautiful resort hotel have a make-up mirror in every bathroom? It would NOT cost them much to install this basic necessity and would have made my stay much better on a daily basis. As noted above, they also need to find a way to meet their advertisement of accommodating 5 people in a 1 bedroom efficiency (DVC member).

Hotel's Favourite
Having stayed at a number of Disney Resorts, I would say this is my least favorite as an adult. For parents with little kids, however, the big advantage to this hotel is its walking access to the Magic Kingdom. Being on the monorail is also a plus. We were in the Bay Lake Tower. Our room was very small, and then we realized we were in a lock off bedroom for the suite next to us, which was very roomy. The bathroom sink area is very tight. I found the rooms to have very poor lighting. It is very helpful, however, to have a small kitchen. The views are nice. There are no restaurants in this tower, but it’s just a short walk to the main hotel. As Covid protocols are still in place, the service of the rooms is limited. No change of sheets unless you ask. Towels every other day. The rooftop observatory is closed for some reason (maybe COVID?) My granddaughters really enjoyed the community room with toys, drawing and videos. The hotel has a beach which is fun for kids. The pool has slides and a splash pad. Personally, I found the loud music at the pool very annoying. Tough to relax with rock music blaring. Our families biggest complaint with this hotel is the noise at night. For some reason, they do a show on the lake at 10pm. The music is super annoying and ridiculously loud. Couldn’t they do the show earlier? The music could definitely be less loud. People with young kids go to bed early, and the music makes it tough to sleep. This hotel generally has lots of noise between music, fireworks, boat horns. I don’t remember other resorts being so noisy. To end on a positive note, everyone in the hotel was incredibly nice and helpful. I just think there are better options if you have older kids, or are just coming as adults ( like the Yacht Club).

Family of 4 plus grandparents- stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath room facing the bay with a sofa bed and nice size balcony. Check in was seamless; bell service was timely. The room was very clean; some wear on furnishings in the living area but nothing concerning. Stacked washer dryer was a life saver. Plenty of storage and closet space. Kitchen fully set up with anything one might need to prepare simple meals. Access to the pools was easy and the kids had great fun. Easy access across the bridge to the restaurants, gift shops and monorail in the Contemporary. Concierge staff were always available and accommodating when we needed help. Great children's room on the first floor with games, toys, TV and staff present. We stayed there before and would stay here again for sure!

Our 4th night of an 8 night DVC stay at various WDW DVC resorts and sadly the only one with more than one negative. Previous 2 nights have been at the Polynesian, no negatives and our first night at Wilderness Lodge, Boulder Ridge. The only negative there was the studio at the Polynesian was bigger. What disappointed us here was the front desk staff that greeted in the morning when we completed check in. A shrug of the shoulders, over there and after 4pm were the only words muttered from a less than enthusiastic front desk assistant. Our room cards were not even reprogrammed from Poly to Bay Lake on arrival. Fortunately Ginnie who met us at the front desk on our return later in the day was perfect and did her best to sort our some changes to our next stop at at OKW. The resort itself is perfectly located next to the Magic Kingdom and has a great pool area but again there were issue that detracted from it. Walkways were covered in plant debris, I understand this is natural but plants surround the walkways in The Poly and Wilderness Lodge and this was not noticeable there. The weather although stormy at times cannot be blamed as it was the same at both resorts. The biggest disappointment for us was the lack of theming. I would love to stay in resort of this standard anywhere in the world but Disney is our escape from the everyday world. We hope to become regular visitors to Disney once more now covid restrictions are easing and hope to try out all DVC resorts, not sure Bay Lake Tower will see us return anytime soon though.

We stayed at Baylake Tower on May 7-12 in a 1 bedroom lake view room on the 9th floor. Check in was fast and easy. Bell Services held our luggage until our room was ready. The Cast Members at this resort are very friendly and helpful. Any time we needed anything at all they were very quick to respond. The 1 bedroom had a large living room and a full kitchen with an island. There is a kitchen table that would seat 4-6 people. There are 2 bathrooms and a stackable washer/dryer. This is a very large 1 bedroom. There is plenty of floor space in the living room even with pull out couch open into a bed. I found it to be a great layout with the space used well. Reviewers have said that there was a lot of wear and tear in the rooms. I didn’t see that all at. I thought it was clean and in good repair. We also had a balcony with a beautiful view. My daughter enjoyed going out to watch the water parade on the lake. The location of this hotel is amazing. Walking to the Magic Kingdom is awesome. Monorail to EPCOT was great too. I loved being so close to the parks. We viewed the fireworks from the bridge between Baylake Tower and the Contemporary. They even play the music for the fireworks through the intercom system. It is an easy walk over to the Contemporary for the monorail, food and shopping. I love how everything you need at this resort is close, it’s compact and well laid out. The pool is not the fanciest pool on WDW property but it has everything you need. There is zero entry area, water slide, a bar to purchase food and drinks, table games, and sandy “beach” area. There is sand but no access to water in that area. The Cast Members have games and activities for kids in the afternoon. My daughter really enjoyed the games (and prizes LOL) I enjoyed our stay at this resort. I can’t think of one negative thing to say. It was a great experience. This is my favorite resort that we have stay at so far. We are trying to stay at all different resorts.

We just got back from a 7 day trip to WDW - family of 5 , kids ages 6-10. We stayed in a one bedroom lake view at Bay Lake tower and it was honestly perfection. We were on the 14th floor .. had a lake view AND could see MK and fireworks while on balcony. Yes the furniture needs maybe an update .. but the size of suite was perfect. Large main bathroom with separate toilotte room. Our youngest slept on a blow up mattress in the bedroom wtih her two brothers sharing the king size bed. My husband and I were out on the pull out sofa and pull out in the family room. The two full bathrooms was really great - I got up early to shower and get on teh APP and didn't wake anyone up. My kids loved being at the pool - which was never crowded , in the afternoons and ordering to go food from Contempo Cafe and eating it. The location cannot be beat .. we walked back and forth to MK many days. It was nice and quiet for sleeping .. I get maybe some negatives with the furniture being a bit tired... but other than that everyone was so helpful and attentive.

I’ll start with the good. The pool was fantastic. My kids had a blast and loved the water slide. Attentive lifeguards. Proximity to the MK was a big +. Our kids really enjoyed the character breakfast at Chef Mickey. The pool-side bar was out of a good number of options with a weak menu to start. Inconvenient, but not a huge deal. Raised an eyebrow. I was disappointed that they didn’t have Smart TVs with Disney+ access and the ability to stream other services. That’s pretty standard these days at 3 star hotels. The TVs were SD and about 8 years old w basic cable + Disney channels (any parent with young kids understands why that’s not a substitute for Disney+). Customer service is decentralized. You won’t get someone at the front desk when you call. Cost cutting. I asked for our room to be cleaned the second night and they said we didn’t qualify for another night of cleaning. They only clean every 3rd day. They agreed to change our trash, remove used towels and brought new ones. This really bothered me @ $1,200 a night. This was our second time staying and likely our last. The service / rooms were ok but not worth the cost. The property has a ton of potential but Disney is severely underinvesting in maintenance and service. You can only play the “cost cutting due to pandemic” card for so long before customers assume you’ve thrown in the towel.

We did a split stay between Bay Lake and the Poly. When you first walk into the lobby you smell this amazing scent. I desperately want that scent in my house, car, office…anywhere. Love it!! There is a separate lobby from the Contemporary. We did online check in, but had a problem with our Magic Bands so we had to stop by the desk. It took awhile, but they were able to get it all worked out. Our room wasn’t ready until 1:30pm, which was still better than the 4pm checkin time. After we had lunch, we headed straight for the pool. The kids LOVED it. Our oldest took advantage of the fun poolside activities and made a tie dye Mickey shirt. We took advantage of both the Bay Lake pool and the Contemporary pool. Our kids preferred the Bay Lake pool, though. The slide was more fun. Our room was just okay. It was really small and not well lit. We had a lake view and we were able to see the Wilderness Lodge - one of our favorite resorts. We definitely prefer other DVC rooms, though. The location, though, can’t be beat! My husband had a meeting one morning and I decided to take our three small kids to MK by myself. It was an easy, quick walk over. It was nice not having to wait for a bus or hop on the monorail. The food options here aren’t our favorite. Quick service is okay. Stay far away from Chef Mickey’s, though. Definitely had better meals at Golden Corral than this buffet. Eek.

I stayed at the Bay Lake Tower hotel resort from Saturday March 5th till Tuesday March 8th 2022 for my college spring break vacation at Walt Disney World; since Disney World is one of the happiest places on earth and feels like a second home to me. I loved this hotel because the hotel lobby smelled beautiful and I enjoyed swimming in the hotel pool as well as going down the awesome water slide. And the palm trees as well made my vacation so tropical and made my vacation a paradise. I totally recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay at a hotel near the Magic Kingdom during their Disney vacation. I also loved the bridge that lead to the Contemporary Resort where I got to play games in the arcade; as well as take the monorail to the magic kingdom. The monorail to and from the resort was an awesome ride for me. I also enjoyed playing basketball and tennis at the Bay Lake Tower resort basketball and tennis court. I hope to come here again the next time I come to Disney World! Glad I had so much fun while I was here!

We stayed in a 3-bedroom villa on the 14th floor of Disney's Bay Tower Resort last Thursday and Friday night. We had both positive and negative experiences during out two nights. We are still trying to determine if the positives outweigh the negatives. We had a split stay for the week, so we sent two nights at Boardwalk Villas, three nights at Saratoga and thought we were saving the best for last staying in Bay Tower our last two nights. The first issue we had was our room was not ready at 4pm. We went to the pool and when I still had not heard back at 5:30pm I went to the front desk and they said they were waiting on maintenance to fix a light. I told the front desk we needed to get in the room to shower before our evening reservations. Christina at the front was very pleasant and arranged for the room to be released upon me agreeing not to get the light fixed during out visit. No big deal. She also offered us counter service dinner vouchers for the inconvenience and scored us a reservation at the California Grill (which we had to turn down because it was $89 a head because it was the 50th anniversary celebration, I don't mind spending $89 a head on adults, but not teens). When we finally got to our room we were memorized by the beautiful view of Magic Kingdom and couldn't wait to watch fireworks from our balcony the next night. The longer we spent in the villa the more we noticed how run down it looked. We overlooked it because of the view and distance to MK and the monorail. The one thing we had a problem overlooking was the 4 cockraoch's we killed in a 32-hour period. Two in the master bathroom, one in the downstairs guest bathroom and one on the master bedroom floor. It is hard to sleep knowing there are bugs crawling all around you. For the price of the villa and given this is a Disney property, we did not expect bugs to be present in our room, let alone killing 4 in a short time period. We told the front desk on our way out and the apologized. I tried to find the GM's email to inform them and cannot find it. I have yet to receive the survey they send out after a stay. So my question remains, is being able to walk to MK, take the monorail to Epcot and watch the fireworks from your balcony enough to stay in a run-down Disney property with a bug problem, I guess the choice is up to the individual.
