This place sucked. Their food sucks. They have like 100 chairs by the pool and they book over a 1000 people. There’s not one spot open in the pool or on the slides for you to go on. Can never find an open chair or even a space to sit on the floor. They did not plan this place at all. They need to get more chairs / pool space if they want to book that many people at once. My daughter cried every day we were there because there was never any room for us. The food was WAYYY too much money for what you got. One sub with NOTHING else was 15$ - no drinks. No chips. Nothing. The rooms were not very clean, and for a “suite” they were rather small. I don’t recommend this place at all.
I am very glad we went despite all of the negative reviews. I’ll address a few things that I read that concerned me. 1. Our room was not dirty at all. It was very clean and comfortable. There is no door on the bunk bed room but just wear your kid out enough that they don’t care and just pass out. 2. The food was very good! The breakfast buffet had everything. Eggs, bacon, turkey bacon, sausage, burritos, quiche, eggs, pancakes, waffles, muffins, coffee, juice, milk, fresh fruit. I didn’t have an issue spending the $24. The burgers and tenders by the pool were great too. 3. The crowds. We checked in on a Thursday and had an amazing time Thursday and Friday. Saturday got super crowded. We were checking out that day so we spent some time in the pool and were happy to leave around lunch time. It was still fun but I know what it means when there are that many people in a pool and no line at the bathroom. 4. Check in took a bit but I think we came right at shift change (5pm) I wish they opened the kids splash pad before 11 but it wasn’t a big deal. If you’re boujie and looking for a Ritz type experience, this isn’t for you. But if you’re like us and just want a few days away for your kid to let loose, this was great. We will 100% be back. Picture is the view from our room.…
...I've recently stayed at this hotel and my stay was not pleasant. There were so many issues with my room. 1. No drinking cups. 2. no coffee cups. 3. no regular coffee- only decaf. 4. Light above the sink was not working. 5. Ceiling fan in the bedroom worked only at high speed. 6.No ice in the ice machine and finally NO hot water - that was very upsetting considering my son and I spent all day by the pool and we needed to shower. When I called the front desk to find out if the hotel was experiencing a hot water issue, the agent said I'm sorry and that was it. No solution has been offered to me. No compensation has been offered. I will not ever return to this hotel or recommend it to anyone.
I don't even know where to begin. Staff was nice. Kids enjoyed the pool, but the pools didn't stay open late enough. Every hotel I have ever stayed at the pools closed around 11pm to 12 am. These closed at 9, and the slides closed at 7. Our first room was literally on the opposite side of the hotel. That's ok, someone has to stay that far away. The elevator closest to us was broken the whole week were were there so we had to walk further away to the next closest one. All the elevators in this place are in need or some serious help. I did not feel safe in any we were in. Being as far away from the lobby as you could get was fine (the pool at that end was actually quieter and warmer) until our key card decided not to work. After the walk a mile down to the lobby we got a new card. Also requested a blanket while in the lobby because there was no phone in our room (no coffee maker either and the fridge didn't get that cold). There was also a nasty ketchup? stain on the ceiling. We had requested an extra blanket one night but 24 hours later it still hadn't shown up. That was ok because when we got back to the hotel after a long hot day of walking we discovered our air wasn't working. The maintenance man looked at it and apparently couldn't fix it so we ended up switching rooms at 1 in the morning. At least they finally brought our blanket by then. Not even 20 minutes later an employee showed up to make sure we had moved out of our first room. All of our stuffed had been previously unpacked and a family of five with children there for a week has a lot of stuff to repack. Not to mention the younger kids were already sleeping. 20 minutes is NOT enough time to make sure we had left the room! New room was right by the lobby. And this one had a phone and a coffee maker! It did not however have an ice bucket. No one would answer the phone so my husband walked to the lobby and requested one. Not counting on it coming soon, he cut up a soda bottle to use as one. Shockingly the ice bucket arrived after he got ice (a long way away) in the soda bottle. The ice bucket had no lid or plastic bag but whatever. The second half of our week no one came to empty our trash or give us fresh towels. My husband was told to call on the phone to request towels, but in several days someone only answered the phone once. The food at the Lakeside Cafe was expensive and horrible. The kids may eat free, but it was literally just a hot dog (or chicken strip) with lemonade. No fries, no chips, nothing. Just a single hot dog. The only thing that was partially good was the mashed potatoes. All of us were hungry when we left. Maybe the hotel is just understaffed like the rest of the country. But if that's the case, then maybe they shouldn't book as many rooms if they can't handle it. Also, hidden fees and parking are OUTRAGEOUS! We were charged an extra $500 that we didn't know we were going to be charged! Hotel is in bad need of maintenance and updating (which it looks like they are updating some) and in major need of some extra staff. At least most of the staff are friendly. And in need or some deep cleaning (floors made our socks black). There were a ton of other little things, but I just don't feel like writing anymore.…
First off all the service at the front desk by Joanna was exceptional! She was amazing! Very thorough and so nice! The place is awesome! Great rooms with lots of space. Water park is super fun! Will definitely be coming back!!
You can see everything in here… mothers smoking cigarettes front their kids literally spitting the smoke in their face, teenagers smoking weed at the stairs, the charge me around $365 for parking… if you arrive after 10…. Is not parking available close to your building… you have to park in the employees parking and you have to walk like 5 minutes back to your room, I ordered something from Amazon and in the all said the package was delivered and given to someone at the front desk… you know what??? They told me the don’t have any package at the front desk… I has been in several hotels and this is the first time that I had this nasty experience… My score for this hotel 1 to 10 is -1,000
this is not a resort, they have the worst food, disgusting food, and the resort fee is OUT OF CONTROL HIGH for nothing. The pool didn't even have chairs to accommodate guests. The employees of the resort do not have a clue as to what they are doing. We could have stayed at ANY resort in Orlando for for less. DO NOT STAY HERE----WASTE OF MONEY.

My family and I visited several of the Disney parks in Orlando. Traveling with multiple kids is always difficult, but Maria D. made our trip so smooth. She gave us great recommendations, helped us with the timing for shuttles, and went above and beyond to ensure our dietary restrictions at the restaurant were met-- even bringing out the Chef to discuss making us alternative food. She even made sure my daughter got her face painted. Thank you Maria!
As a high tier status member, I'm staying a lot at IHG properties. However, this Holiday Inn resort cannot be recommended by us. We liked: - the location to the parks - the smaller Oasis pool To mention: - the free shuttle to the park is a joke; need to be reserved 24hrs in advance as we were told and is scheduled for very few times a day only; so we ended up with Uber and driving ourselves - the water park is super crowded; beyond capacity to have any fun; - the hotel staff is generally not helpful and not even very friendly; an awkward exception in the disney area and with most IHG hotels; - room cleaning is also a joke; full service after 5 days is not an acceptable standard for this hotel class and price; light service was very bad, i.e. no fill-up of coffee or other amenities and towels just have been "thrown " into the room; not even the trash bags have been properly put into trash baskets …
