As DVC members we like to go to as many different resorts as possible, so this time we choose OKW and the grounds are lovely, Olivia's Cafe is wonderful, super friendly staff, good food. The grounds are huge and there's alot of walking, so if your not into walking it might not be the best choice. The main pool is nice but it was so terribly crowded every day, so most days we went to a quiet pool. Didn't ever wait too long for a bus to get to where we were going, we also utilized the boat service to Disney Springs which is super nice to have. The room was pretty spacious, we asked for a ground floor due to there being no elevators, two comfy queen beds in the room, tv could have been a bit bigger because you couldn't see it from both beds at the same time. It's not my absolute favorite of the resorts we've been to but it wasn't terrible either. Only reason i probably wouldn't stay there again is because of the amounts of walking and the fact that my husband has a bad back and he doesn't tolerate the excess walking too well.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed in building 62 which is next to the Hospitality House with an amazing view of the lake. Our villa was spectacular! Everything was clean and well furnished. Absolutely zero noise aside from Epcot’s daily fireworks at 9:45 pm, which we watched from our balcony. The staff were amazing!!!!!

I have stayed at this resort many times and love it. The one bedroom unit is huge and has everything you need. The kitchen is fully stocked. This resort also has a full sized washer and dryer in the room. Love taking the boat to Disney Springs (for us old timers, Downtown Disney) . Olivia's is excellent!! And the Gurgling Suitcase is a ball!! Highly recommended!!

Room service came every other day. Resort is very large and far from the parks. Pools are not very large. I would not stay again because it did not seem nearly as impressive as the Universal hotel I stayed at. I would stay at a hotel closer to the parks and not as spread out. I had to wait for the bus at least 20 min every time then the bus ride took another 20 min. Then you walk from the bus area to the parks area so it seems like almost an hour either way. It was hard to park hop or return to resort to rest when travel time takes so long. At over 600 per night would not recommend way too expensive to be so far away. There is a way to save money by booking by dvc rental when booking villas but I didn't know about enough in advance. They did not honor my requests for early check in or to be near the hospitality house/main pool. I did not have much a view it was Miller road location but far from main area.

We’ve been visiting OKW for 20+ years as a family, have brought friends too and we’ve never experienced such disappointing standards than our most recent May 2022 trip. The villas need work; the furniture is fraying, it the villas are losing character and have barely any Disney magic anymore and look more regular when this is suppose to be a deluxe, unique Disney experience villa resort. The housekeeping left a tissue in the master upon arrival and left chocolate smudges over coffee table when “enhanced cleaning” was supposedly in effect. Housekeeping sometimes arrived at the door and then answered their phones while we stood there waiting to see what they’d wish to inspect, it was a little awkward. On top of the above our Disney tickets kept malfunctioning in the Disney experience app disrupting our trip so for the first week we had unnecessary stress out of our control. Guest services are fabulous but they themselves barely knew how to handle the ticket scenario, could barely compensate properly for our mishaps and though we appreciated the $200 dining credit, they did send out a surprise gift bag of expired chocolates with deflated balloons…. To make our experience better supposedly. After we informed them they then sent out mugs and plain popcorn. All very nice but we expected a bit more compensation considering the first week of our trip was stressful and far from relaxing due to accommodation mishaps and ticketing issues out of our control. The resort is famously relaxing, unique and a lovely experience usually and has been through the last 15+ years but standards have dropped massively in recent times and the places needs a refurb across the board, and a better guest relation up top to be able to respond to emails from guests so that they don’t have to resort to a public trip advisor review. I’ve chosen to try a different resort for our next stay as this one was underwhelming and I hope the next time we choose to stay at OKW the deluxe experience is true to the standards they say they withhold. It’s expensive to be a DVC member you know?

From the moment we arrived and all through the week, it was so wonderful. The resort is clean, charming, and beautiful! We will go back as soon as we can. Staff was so accomodating and helpful. The maid service was impeccable. Views from our personal patio was nice.

I’ve now stayed at a lot of properties and being a DVC member, give me the opportunity to stay and try many hotels out. This spot I only stayed in one night, but it was nice to check it out. Property was first off far away from many of the parks, closest to Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs, you can also take a boat to Disney Springs from here. The property is massive, over 65 buildings of mostly DVC rooms, pretty large 1 bedroom villas, full kitchens, large bedroom, bathrooms. The issue is the buildings are so spread out, you literally have to take a Disney bus to get to the main pool or front lobby area with the restaurants. There are bus stops throughout the property, however it you are taking a bus back to your building, it could take a long while to get back to it or the main building. Not much to the Hospitality House main building, Olivias Restaurant, a to go spot, Gurgling Suitcase outdoor bar and some games and of course the main pool. There are bikes to rent as well and Surreys. The pool area is pretty cool, beach motif etc. Not sure I would stay here again, its pretty far away, yes the rooms were ok, a bit dated and needing remodeling on the outside, a little scraped up and beat up on the insides, but spacious, modern. Im on the fence if I would use my points here again.

As DVC owners, this was our first stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort. This was a last-minute booking and OKW was one of only a few options available. We booked a one-bedroom villa and utilized the mobile check-in option to bypass the Hospitality House lobby. Our first impression was that this room was HUGE! What a great living space and kitchen, with large laundry room (full size washer and dryer), giant master bedroom, and a split bathroom with large whirlpool tub and vanity and separate full bath with glass shower w/rain shower head. The balcony was an added bonus, overlooking one of the smaller "quiet pool" areas. After this stay, OKW will definitely be on our list to re-visit in the future!

Pros; -check in all via app - no need to go to front desk and room key on magic bad or on your phone. Quite simply the best. -as soon as we arrived we felt like this was home and something special. It was. -fantastic service -1 bed villa was enormous! Had fully fitted kitchen, laundry room, separate bedroom, large balcony, lounge, bathroom, shower room, spa tub...just fantastically spacious, clean and luxurious -the resort is just stunning and so well maintained -large pool and smaller ones around the resort -DVC "ferry" to Disney Springs -Gurgling suitcase may well be small but it is also mighty in its servings! -Olivias restaurant offering breakfats / ,unch and dinner -food to go was pretty good; hot snacks / drinks Cons; -huge resort so if you aren't mobile ask for a room near hospitality house -would benefit from a bar with ample seating -currently Olivia's has a small menu; more offerings would be beneficial
