I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here I had reservation for checkin at 3pm the staff was nice by letting me check in early .Room 1110 Since it was early I took of my clothes and layed in bed watching Netflix as I look for activity in the area however I kept feeling something crawling on me i looked even harder and there was a bed bug I was bite on my back and my next i immediately took pictures and informed the staff and refused another room however i was told by the manager that there pest control came out and found no evidence of any bug so i started to do some research on my own and came across that this isnt the first time this hotel has been reported for bed bug issue plus i ask for the report from pest control haven’t received it so i came across a review on trip advisor Michael H, General Manager at Marriott Orlando Downtown, After a thorough review, I am happy to report that our Third Party Pest Services Company found no evidence of this type of pest issues the reviews also had pictures of bites from bed bug they will not refund your money and this third party company will never admit to finding anything in the room Im lucky that I didn’t open my suitcase at all plus any clothes that were worn i threw them away after i left that awful place…
I have written hundreds of reviews and take it seriously; I do hope you find my review helpful. As a Lifetime Titanium Member, I love the Marriott brand. This hotel does not embody the Marriott service and standards I have come to know and expect in my +1,500 lifetime stays. The service was consistently below target from breakfast to the Executive lounge. If you have status, this is, quite frankly, the worst Executive lounge I have ever seen in all my travels. The breakfast is poorly executed and the coffee was put out late 3 out of 5 mornings and no apology was given... a simple "I'm sorry, it's coming up" would have sufficed. But not even that was provided. The ice machine was broken and no effort was made to get back to me to let me know if it would be fixed even though I asked 3 times. I reached out to the manager several times via e-mail and received 1 reply. I specifically said I did not want any points or anything for free, I just wanted to know my feedback was heard. Yet, I received no reply after my first e-mail despite taking the time to type feedback that I thought would be helpful. Again, I don't want points. I don't need points. But, an acknowledgement would have been nice. I would not stay here again. The neighborhood was also very seedy.…
Great hotel, very comfortable with outdoor pool and fitness room. Location is very convenient in downtown Orlando. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby. Business lounge. Staff very polite and attentive. Would definitely go back on my next trip to Orlando.
Stayed 2 nights at Downtown Orlando Marriott. Easy walking distance to downtown area. Room was clean and good amenities. Quite even though right on the highway. Bathroom was clean. We belong to Marriott Reward program called Bonvoy. They gave us a free lounge with full breakfast and open all day for water and snacks. Open in evening for Wine and snacks, however, we did not use it in evening. That was really nice and we appreciated the effort to make us feel welcome in that way. The only thing that takes it from a 5 star to a 4 star is that when we checked, my wife grabbed a couple bottles of water. The person checking us in failed to mention that 30 feet away we could get free bottled water from the VIP Lounge. Instead he decide to simply say nothing and charge us for the water. Not too big of a deal but could have mentioned the VIP lounge was open... I would absolutely return to this hotel for any future Orlando visits.…
Thought for the price this hotel would be a great experience. We arrived nearly 2 hours after check in and our room was not ready. My son and I had to prepare for our event in the lobby bathroom...yuck. TV remote did not work and the room phone did not work either. The plaster and paint were peeling off the shower ceiling due to a leak at the shower head that been spraying on the ceiling. Must have been neglected for some time to have the paint and plaster washed away. Made hotel aware of these items but they would not refund any portion of room cost, just offered apologies and some reward points. There are lots of other hotels in the area and I will stay at one of those next time.
