We stayed at the Boardwalk Inn for 5 nights and for the price I expected much more. Our room was not cleaned even though we opted in for housekeeping. We had to ask for towels multiple times and for our garbage to be taken out. Room for 5 people was pretty small and needed an upgrade. Staff was not very helpful when asking about housekeeping. It was hard to find kid friendly food in the hotel for breakfast Would not stay here again. The pros: easy access to the parks and transportation.
My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon. The hotel was beautiful, with great staff, and access to a grocery store pretty much right outside of the hotel. The boardwalk is always beautiful to walk around and explore during the day and night, and the staff was very helpful and kind. 10/10 a fantastic experience.
From the “Welcome home” greeting at the security gate to check out was an incredible experience. 2nd time staying in Club Level and definitely won’t be the last. Amanda went above and beyond from booking to greeting to guiding! The inside joke of my “25th” birthday (over twice that) showed her attention to detail and how to make one feel special. Lene was also a rockstar in the Innkeepers Lounge. Very personable and made us these special drinks! Thanks to all for an amazing experience and thanks to my daughters for the birthday surprise trip! ❤️
We stayed her May 16-20th. It was our first time staying at the Boardwalk Inn and I wasn’t sure how much I’d like it. For some reason, I thought it would be more difficult not having a food court (like the Disney value & moderate resorts do) however it was perfect! I think I fell in love immediately. The resort itself is beautiful, it has this whimsical charm to it, that’s the best way I can explain it. It’s so close to Epcot - about a 10-15 min walk and Hollywood Studios is about a 15-20 minute walk. As far as location goes, it can’t be beat. The cast members here are exceptional!!! I’ve been staying at Disney resorts for years, and this place has the best cast members I’ve ever met. So friendly and helpful, you can tell they really enjoy what they do. So prompt, when I called to get extra coffee pods/creamer/towels/shampoo etc, it was all delivered within 5-10 minutes. Also, when I called to have our luggage brought up, it arrived within 5 minutes. Very impressive, as at other resorts I’ve waited hours for those things. Let’s talk room, we had a room very close to the elevators and right across from the ice/vending machines. Our room was quiet, well appointed, 2 queen beds and a pull down couch (single bed). The beds were so comfy, we slept so well. I loved the decor, back to the whimsical charm, it was just perfect for the theming of this resort. Some may think it’s “outdated” but I know and appreciate it’s the theme. We bought mugs for coffee/pop, and in the morning you could go to the Belle Vue Lounge for coffee refills and they also had a continental style breakfast. It was very convenient. I would also go the the Boardwalk Bakery and get a gluten free chocolate chip muffin so my daughter and I had something to eat as well. There is a pizza window that we got food from one night, and it was perfect. They made regular pizza for the guys, and gluten-free for us - they are individual and take about 45 minutes. They give you a beeper to let you know when it’s ready. The pools are beautiful, my son swam in the quiet pool and he really liked it because there was hardly anyone there. There are a few gift shops onsite, also one with a bakery case and some refrigerated items like milk, ice cream, etc. Lots of things if you’re staying at a villa and have a microwave. Our room didn’t because we were at the inn, but we did have a Keurig and used that every morning on our early days. There’s also a spot just off the lobby where you can sit on some chairs and just look out onto the boardwalk and the water. It’s so peaceful to just sit there and take it all in. One of our best stays ever. I think we found our new favorite resort.…
Using electric scooter to go from Boardwalk to EPCOT was a breeze! Could go on boat or the walking path. About 5 minutes either way. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Had concierge rooms that had electric door. Refrigerator was tiny and no freezer for ice packs. Espresso machine in room would not provide just coffee but coffee in lounge was good. Laundry service was unorganized at best. Breakfast in concierge lounge was ok. Too many plant based foods for me. Bell service was wonderful. Prefer 2 bedroom condo over 2 bedroom suite by far. But Boardwalk is a wonderful place and for my first trip with a motorized scooter probably the best place on earth.
Pros: Short walk to Epcot, decent pool with a fun water slide, bucolic and relaxing quiet pool, decent-size room with a balcony Cons: The decor in the room is stodgy and could use an upgrade (the villas look much nicer); rooms aren’t very sound-proofed; very impersonal - not much interaction with staff Wouldn’t stay at the Inn again. Liked Animal Kingdom Lodge much better. Even liked Pop Century better.
It has been over 3 years since my wife, 11 year old daughter, and I have been to Disney World. We stayed at the Boardwalk Inn for the first 5 of our 8 day Easter vacation. We have come to love this area between Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Typically, we book the Beach Club since their pool is our favorite. However, we had a wonderful visit at this resort. We enjoyed seeing the fireworks from our porch with a water view, going to the pool for kids’ games and the slide for our daughter, and the lively atmosphere in the evening on the Boardwalk. Didn’t give a 5 star review because of the room. It was clean, but very basic for the price. You are paying for the location and the Disney experience. Great return trip and would stay again.
This was our first time at the Boardwalk Inn, although we had wanted to try it for years. It's really all about the location here, it's what you are paying for- for us it works perfectly. We could walk to Hollywood Studios, Epcot and to the Dolphin for dinner at Shula's. It's also right near the Skyliner and Friendship boats. We arrived about 11:30am and were told it would be 3pm before the room was ready (we did the online check in, but also checked at the desk since there was no line) (I always like to ask about upgrades, which there were none). We started to change clothes in the lobby bathroom before heading out to Springs when we got the text that our room WAS ready! Bonus! We scored a King bed. I felt we DID get an upgrade after all? I had put it as a request, but we never get one at Disney. We were happy about that. The room, and the property, are definitely older, but clean and well maintained. There's a lot of layers of paint everywhere, that's for sure. The carpet in our room was either new or just in great shape. The furniture was dated looking, but I also think that was the look they might be going for. The couch, however, was really sad. Frumpy and stained. I didn't want to sit on it. For the price of the hotel, I think they could maybe do better with that. The bathroom actually did seem to be renovated, nice tile in the shower and on the floors. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap, vanity kit, shower cap, mouthwash and lotion were provided. We stayed for five nights and had our garbage emptied and towels replaced after two nights, and then a more complete housekeeping service including the bed being made (not clean sheets), garbage, towels, but on our last night.........I would have liked the bed made the first visit in, but it was nice regardless. I try to make the bed, but it's never the same as when they do it. We really did not interact with the staff much, did not use the pool or amenities so can't comment on that. We were out and about to the parks most of the time. Again, back to the location. The Boardwalk Inn does not have any food service or restaurants (that we knew about) but since you are on the Boardwalk you have access to a variety, like a bakery, ice cream shop, finer dining (Trattoria and Flying Fish), casual dining (Big River) and some shops. We enjoyed sitting out with an ice cream for an afternoon break one day. Can't fault this place, except the price for the room is just too much for this to become a repeat stay for us, The location was amazing, however.…
Somehow, the architects planners and wizards of Disney, make you feel like you are in a quiet New England coastal lodge. Construction quality is first class. The place is gorgeous, solid and seemingly “old world”. Disney service shines and EVERY interaction at the facility was a joy. I don’t know how Disney does it, honestly. Expensive, for sure. Convenience to Star Wars stuff was great, and the boardwalk was enough of a stroll after dinner to feel like you had worked off your ast dessert. A couple of bars made adult cocktail time easy to achieve with kids playing nearby. Getting a sit down meal without prior planning is near impossible. Walk in times are very late , so make reservations. We didn’t . Regretted it each night, hoping we could get lucky. Nope. ESPN still closed, which was a bummer. Expensive indulgence, but for three nights as our family COVID prize, it delivered. The adult pool and hot tub was quiet each afternoon, and the family pool was jumping with activity.…
My husband and I just returned from a wonderful trip at the Boardwalk Inn. We were there to celebrate our 50th anniversary. We stayed on the club level and it was truly awesome! The cast members were great. We were in room 4237, right across from the lounge with a Boardwalk view. The room was very clean and housekeeping was there every day to make up our room. I want to give a special thanks to Lorenzo, JJ, Joe, Amanda,Beverly, Brittany and Monica for their attention to us during our trip. They were so gracious and helpful. Lene, club manager was so helpful in pulling off a great surprise for us. She communicated with my son before our visit and helped him plan a very special gift for us. Lorenzo also helped my daughter with a special surprise for us. These cast members are the main reason we return to this resort during the year!…
