I have traveled to NSB several times, and stayed at the Seahorse each time. The property is in the best location... one block east to the beach, and several blocks west to surf shops, ice cream, bike rentals, bars, and places to eat. It is an older style motel... clean, well kept, and friendly.

I liked the retro charm of the room, but the mattress was so hard I couldn't sleep. It was very close to everything that you didn't have to worry about parking and could walk to the beach, restaurants/bars and shops. Make sure you get what you need when you check in, because you never know when someone will be in...

We have shared many wonderful weekends at this motel, however, something has changed. Either management, housekeeping or both. NO TELEPHONES IN THE ROOM, NO HAIR DRYERS, NO MANAGEMENT ON SITE MOST OF THE TIME. This could create a very hazardous condition. Light was out in the bathroom, also. This is not as nice as it has been in the past...

I have had the opportunity to visit New Smyrna Beach several times. It is a great location for couples and groups of friends. The Seahorse Inn is a great motel. Walking distance to the beach, resturants, shops, and bars. It reminds you of a original motor lodge. Clean with convenient parking. Not many amenities but they are all around you,...

No doubt this is the best location for enjoying both the beach and the shopping strip on Flagler Ave. Walk to MANY restaurants. Be careful, however, you can drop a bundle at the neat little boutiques! As for the motel, it was adequate though the AC was very noisy. The room, while antiquated, was modern enough to enjoy - actually...

Our stay here was wonderful! The location is perfect! In the middle of everything you need and a very short walk to the beach (most important part of going to Florida!) The rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. We will definitely stay again. Highly recommended!

We stayed here during a funeral and at last minute reservation the gentleman helped us get a room. We were able to comfortably put 5 people in the room.rooms were very clean excellent host and housekeeping was great. Went above and beyond. Wifi not great but still was pleasant 3 min walk to beach and pet friendly.

That being said, we were quite happy. The manager was pleasant & helpful. The room was clean; the fridge worked; it was perfectly located. The only negative was the constant rumble of motorcycles - which was hardly a motel fault. This is Cycle Country !! And I don't mean BICYCLE!

Awesome place to stay. Ignore all the negative reviews, they are untrue. Everything is clean, help is very friendly. I highly recommend this as a place to stay. And if your are in your 40's on up, Peanuts is a nightclub just for our generation.

Our trip to Florida was extended courtesy of Hurricane Sandy. A guy at the train station suggested New Smyrna Beach. So we drove there and looked for a hotel on the beach and ended up here. The best thing I can say is it is indeed close to the beach. It also is sorely in need of some care. There...
