This was just a great little place. Only about three blocks to the south beach area. A lot of people might be put off by the decor but I thought it was fabulous .. the whole place is a kind of kitschy art museum. All the walls are painted with pictures, and there's stained glass and tiles everywhere. The exterior...

What you get for $180/night: a hotel with a distinctly kitschy style (which I personally like) that's right by Lincoln Road Mall and is a walkable distance to everything else in South Beach; the possibility of free parking (although this is a crap shoot... first day we arrived in the afternoon and had plenty of spaces available, second day we...

First impressions here were really great. I loved the lobby and the owner and workers are a real pleasure to talk with. Other then that I do not have anything else nice to say other then that the free parking is so much preferable to the rip off valet $30 a day price at other hotels, also the Wi-Fi was...

The James hotel is an older hotel decorated in art deco motif which is what sobe is all about. The hotel is located in the heart of sobe and a short walk to collins ave. and other attractions. Our room was clean and spacious with a refrigerator and microwave. The furniture was dated but the beds were comfortable. As this is...

If I can give this hotel a zero, I would. WARNING: DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL, WE FOUND BED BUGS IN ROOM 302. Upon check the gentleman at the front desk was very nice. The James Hotel is an older mom and pop hotel located 3 blocks away from the beach. The elevator wouldn't work and our room was...

If you're like me you tend to shy from low cost places in popular and rich locations. THE JAMES HOTEL IS AN EXCEPTION. The rooms are clean and spacious. Blackout curtains provide for a good night's sleep and large windows let light in when you want it. The outside of the place and the lobby are quirky. Odds and ends...

Was visiting family who were staying at another hotel in the area. James hotel was perfect for us. Friendly accommodating staff. Large, clean room with flat screen tv, microwave and apt sized refrigerator . Plenty of outlets. Bathroom was spacious and modern. Big bonus-- free parking on site while you stay! Short walking distance to everything. Would definitely stay here...

This is a budget hotel in the heart of Miami Beach- no frills. But the location is great, the parking is free, and the decorations and vibe are fun. This is not anything of a luxury experience, but my wife and I's room was very clean. The hallways had a little bit of a funny odor to them but this...

The James hotel is ideal if you need a cheap hotel room in Miami Beach. Most of the staff are not native English speakers and my initial impression was that they were not too friendly. However, I soon learnt that this was due to the language barrier and by the time we left I changed my impression. The main advantages...

When I got to the hotel we discoverd that I booked for 2016 instead of 2015 by mistake. The hotel still accomadated me for the same price! Awesome location on Sobe. The hotel was clean and 24 hour coffee in the Lobby. Wifi worked fine. Will stay here again when visiting Sobe
