Given what we were paying to stay at Hotel Ocean, we found over-all our stay to be dissappointing. We booked a deluxe ocean-view room and were given a tiny room at the back of the hotel with a view of the parking lot. The person checking us in never bothered to say anything, and rather sneakily hoped we wouldn't fuss....

We were nervous about our stay here because of other TripAdvisor reviews, but a co-worker suggested this place based on a June stay and said it was great. Based on reviews, it does seem that unless you are willing to pay $300/night and up, you have a mixed bag. We paid $150/night (all fees, taxes included). It is not new...

Ecclectic hotel with nice, small tuscan-like grounds. Not really one of the art deco's but still interesting. Rooms were huge with a large tiled bar with sink and 1/2 fridge. Bath had walk-in shower with rain fixture and a oval entry with glass blocks and high-end fixtures. Hardwood floors and platform bed. Very warm and inviting. Courtyard view. Courtyard had...

The previous review to mine was right on the mark. Here's the bottom line - if you're looking for relaxation and pampering, stay away from a boutique hotel in South Beach, particularly one right on the main drag. We found the rooms to be clean and affordable, and in a GREAT spot to get to some of the best restaurants...

I booked this hotel through Travelocity and read several reviews about how the hotel had excellent service, access to VIP passes for clubs, and spacious rooms. The rooms were spacious, but that's about it! The hotel was extremely noisy with loud music blaring at the restaurant below until 2 am and the kitchen was so noisy we could hear loud...

The hotel was decent for the price. Don't expect the Mandalay, but it's no rat hole either. We had a clean, nice sized room. What they don't tell you is that the $9 "resort fee" is charged DAILY, and they actually charged us this fee twice upon check out. The staff was nice, the location is great. The "breakfast" if...

Upon arriving to this hotel we found out that there was only ONE bed per "suite'. After having booked a SUITE through travelocity, we were given a small standard room. There were bugs in the bathrooms, the place was filthy. The staff was horribly rude, especially Claudio at the front desk. The lights in our room went out and the...

The Hotel Ocean is a wonderful hotel in a great location. The only slight problem is due to the location it is quite noisy but this is a small price to pay for such a clean, large and nicely appointed room. I found the staff to be genuinely friendly and helpful. There is no better location in Miami then the Hotel...

Never having been to South Beach, I didn't really know what to expect from this hotel. The price was right, the location seemed good, and heck, it was only a four day vacation, how bad could it be? Well let's just say that Hotel Ocean exceeded all of our expectations and I can't believe we got the deal we got...

We arrived to stay at the hotel to find that Travelocity had not actually made the booking with the hotel. Even though it was late at night the reception were more than accomodating. We were upgraded to more luxurious rooms and the following day were upgraded again. On our last day we had no accomodation booked and they still managed...
