I stayed here when I was in town for a conference in January 2005 (and I am a former South Beach resident). The Kent has a funky aesthetic, which was very nice. The staff was nice enough, and we really had no complaints. The only problem (which turned out to be sort of big) is that we reserved two double...

I just spent 3 nights at the kent hotel, and after reading some of the reviews, I tend to disagree. My room was extremely clean, and noise level is typical for any city the size of miami, not to mention you are on South Beach, which is about 20 blocks long, yet the whole city gathers in this area to...

The rooms have cool designs, but they are not quite clean enough. The breakfast is horrible and the common areas are a bit shabby. I expected more for my $150.

I'm writing in response to some of the other reviews. I just spent 5 nights at the Kent. I would not describe it as filthy. The sheets on our bed were clean, and the bathrooms were too. The bathtub, however, could have been cleaned more thoroughly. The fridge in the room did not work very well, and the TV was...

I have been to SoBe about 8 times in the past couple years, and have stayed at several hotels. Never have I stayed in such a filthy hotel. I refused to sit in the lobby because the bright furniture was extremely worn and stained. The halls were filthy and after walking past vomit and telling housekeeping, it took them 3...

I stayed at the Kent last month along with 2 other friends. We had a total of 3 rooms. All of which were dirty. My room had hair on the and huge dust bunnies on the floor. The bathroom had hair in the shower and dust fuzz on the baseboards and the back of the bathroom door which happens to...

If you are after a cheap stop-over type hotel, you don't need much sleep and are not too concernered about hygine then it's fine. But do not be deceived by the VERY out of date photographs, the hotel is well past its sell-by-date, and could do with a re-vamp and a clean. I guess from reading the other reviews the...

Stayed 3 nights end of November. Very retro down to earth hotel with pleasant staff, hip and clean rooms (liked the purple wall paper and bed linens, wooden floor big+). Location perfect, just one block off beach and they even provide free beach towels. All major night life on ocean drive and collins in walking distance. Noise at night, but...

I've stayed there 3 times so far, after reading a review of it on the internet and I stay there every time. The T.V. is small but you got the beach.. so what, and compared to the other hotels on Ocean Drive the noise is barely noticable. For $90 a night its awesome if your a college student and want...
