This hotel was nice, great views of the water, withing walking distance to wonderful restaurants, and shopping. They do have an in-house restaurant and bar with a very limited menu. The rooms were nice with the exception of the bathroom, there is absolutely NO counter space in the bathroom. There was literally a small 3 shelf stand-alone across from the toilet that I had to pull next to the sink to put my makeup on, to get ready. The headboard fell off of the wall in the middle of the night during a tropical storm scaring my husband and I, and the staff was in no hurry to send anyone to look at it.
Our Family and friends stayed at the Mutiny for a wedding. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was ideal - close to the harbor, parks and restaurants and shops. The hotel restaurant was delightful. The harbor view from the balcony was worth the price. Our 96 year old mother sat out there for hours! Because it is a condo/hotel all the units are different and some are more contemporary than others but they were all clean and very comfortable. We would definitely return.
Loved the pool and hotel, Alejandro was the sweetest and didn’t hesitate to help me when i needed something. Will definitely return to this hotel for my next vacation. The customer service was amazing. Recommending to my friends…………………….
Odd place. Rooms (at least my category of room) was huge with a separate bedroom, full size kitchen and washer-dryer hidden in a closed. The Mutiny has a small, overstuffed gym which served its purpose and a nice little hot tub and medium sized pool. It's like a condo/timeshare like thing though as our room had a locked off closed that seemed to contain an owners possessions. All of that works for me. What doesn't work is that it doesn't seem properly staffed or run like a full service hotel. On the day of my checkout my safe (with my stuff in it) wouldn't open. A call to front desk, another call 30 minutes later. after 60 minutes I had to walk to the lobby to get someone to come up and open my safe. Service needs a serious upgrade.
Isa from group sales was fabulous to work with for the past 6 months. So helpful and accommodating for all of our wedding party. As mother of the bride, it was one less thing to worry about. The view was amazing. Nice to have full kitchen to have breakfast coffee in the room. Great location on a crazy, busy Art Festival weekend.
We called at 4pm to ask if they had a hot tub and they said they did. Upon arriving at 6pm they said it was closed for the evening. Are you kidding me? Then we are told we can park our car if we want but the valet service is required and is $30. Outside the valet person was nowhere to be seen and then he insisted we had to use him even though the front desk person said it was optional. After several minutes of back and forth he finally explained how we could park our car ourselves. Then they said the restaurant which included how we would get breakfast the next morning was closed Monday’s and Tuesday’s and we arrived hungry. Finally the elevator requires a card to activate and it was confusing causing us to have to go back to the lobby to have someone teach us how to use the elevator. It was impossible to find the way out to the garage where our car was stored. Such a waste of money. The rooms are dated as well. Not sure why anyone would pay what they ask if they knew how terrible this place was. As a couple it’s insulting to not be allowed to use a pool or hot tub after 6pm. It’s not preschool. We continuously had to wait several minutes at the desk to see anyone who could help us and the front desk staff was condescending when we had trouble with the elevators as well as the wifi password. The floors were hard and uncomfortable. The bed was nice and the pool area attractive (which we couldn't use since we arrived after 6) but those are the only things about the place I liked. Worst property by far I have stayed at in the Miami area for our needs. If you want to be in the center of Coral Gables and care about nothing else including getting ripped off it's fine. Otherwise, steer clear.…
We like everything about this Hotel. Very nice staff. Oscar from front desk was very helpful and a very nice person. We definitely will come back. Very clean, very good location, delicious breakfast. We really recommend it.
Rooms are clean and spacious. Just a few items need attention. Did not receive daily service. Was not advised service is not performed. Only one jet in hot tub works When valet brought the car to the front drive there were bird droppings all over the windshield. You would think this is a known issue and valet would be prepared to clean the windshield. Channel changer in living room is the worst. No instructions and no buttons to enter a channel. Have to up/down arrow to go channels one at a time. Do not think I would stay here on future trips,.
The hotel itself is a little dated. I found myself, on more than one occasion, looking for someone to help me at the front desk and there was no one around. The staff is somewhat friendly, but that's about the only positive thing I can say. I believe the place is severely understaffed. One of the days, over the weekend, there were multiple power outages. Obviously, there is nothing the hotel can do about that, but what I found unacceptable was the lack of information or action taken by the hotel staff. There was no manager to be found, the staff looked lost and like I said, the power must've gone on and off at least 10 times. Alarms were sounding after the outages and still, no answers as to whether there was more trouble to be expected. The only person who seemed to be concerned about the guests was the chef from the restaurant. I'll get to that review later.…
Was not expecting this place to be such a nice hidden gem. Had such a great experience. Amazing ambiance and location. As well as exceptional customer service from Oscar at the front desk. Will definitely be coming back!!
