Clean room with a great view but had a awkward room layout with the bathroom door hitting the room door. Current construction is very loud during the day with jackhammer sounds and vibrations going from the bottom floor all the way to the top. Lounge was closed and instead received a breakfast voucher but the voucher was only good for cold food, hot food you had to pay out of pocket. The location is right on a harbor but away from the beaches and shopping. Uber to either of those places is around $7. There’re over priced shops and restaurants at the base of the hotel, these estaurants automatically charge a 18% gratuity baked in and all of the restaurants are just frontage with different themes, they all share the same kitchen Parking is extra but is covered and on-site. Area is a little sketchy, not dangerous, but there’re drug addicts walking in the street blocking traffic and asking for handouts. I didn’t see any hotel security, there may have been security but I never saw them. It’s a decent hotel for business travel but if traveling with family or on a vacation you’re better off getting something closer to the beach.…
We stayed at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay for 1 night after our cruise earlier this week. When we booked it I didn’t know there was going to be a TON of construction going on in and outside the hotel. I get it, updates are necessary, but I would’ve picked a different hotel if I knew this when booking. They did send me an email about a week before we arrived letting us know about the construction which included not having use of the pool. I looked for a different hotel, but couldn’t find one that fit our needs and honestly, I didn’t have time to do the research like I had prior to booking this hotel. Plus, in the email they said they would provide transportation down to the beach and give us 2 beach chairs. Not ideal, but my kids love the beach so I thought we’d hit the beach for a little bit after we got off the cruise. I came to find out the transportation left at 10am, but a return shuttle wasn’t scheduled to come back to the hotel from the beach until 5pm. That wasn’t going to work for a family with a 4 yr old and 2 yr old. There would’ve been no way to get back to our hotel if we/the kids didn’t want to stay out until 5pm. Not very convenient. Additionally, there was no cold water in our room. Our little one almost burned his hands trying to wash them with what he thought was cold water. I’m assuming this was due to construction. We didn’t complain about it, just another inconvenience. Lastly, not the end of the world, but we planned to have our bags brought down by a bell hop when we checked out to make it easier managing getting our boys out of the hotel. We called down to ask for bell services at 8:30am, but we’re told the bell hop didn’t start working until 10am. Again, not the end of the world, just another inconvenience. Now, based on the amount of construction being done I can see this place being spectacular next year when everything is finished. It has an awesome location (can see the cruise port from the bay view rooms, a great family park is literally down the street and Pura Vida Edgewater across from the park was healthy & delicious!), parking in the deck was pretty convenient and the outside/pool area looked enormous (couldn’t truly tell because it’s just one big construction site right now). Overall, I would definitely try it again after they’re done construction in 2023, but definitely not before then.…
The hotel is under renovation but everyone was so helpful and friendly and Hotel was clean. I did not feel like the renovations took away from our stay at all. Jose Perez was amazing, went out of his way to help our group. I can’t wait to come back when the renovations are done.
Our stay was fantastic, with a gorgeous view and excellent service. The restaurant’s near by were fantastic and the valet was very efficient. Our checkout was very easy with the help of Jose Perez who was very accommodating and patient with my elderly father.
Pool and lounge are under construction and you can REALLY hear the construction. Quiets down at night but rooms are uninhabitable during the day if you want to work or take some calls due to all the power tools you can hear in the room. It's connected to the DoubleTree via an outdoor walkway into some retail shops so I suggest staying there instead since their pool is open. I'd maybe revisit this property after they finish construction.
Room was King size, stayed 6 nights, 15th floor. Did not have a great view, baloney was closed due to construction work at the hotel. The hotel had problems with the water. Some days we had hot water, other luke warm and some days just cold. The hotel did make an adjustment to my bill for the inconvenience. Check in and check out was fast, no problems. The entire staff was excellent. Location was great. Plan on returning when hotel is finish. Restaurant has great food.
We were staying in town for the TBT ESPN basketball tournament. Francisco and Zully and the whole staff were amazing, friendly and when being away from home for 15 days. It was a place away from home. Thank you guys.
The BEST part of our stay was Jose Perez. Anything we needed or asked for, he was the man to ask. We are not from here and his kindness, compassion, jokes, and thoughtfulness made the trip one of the best ever. If I come back to Miami, I will stay there just because of our experience with him! Thanks Jose!
We arrived and there was construction going on so we couldn’t experience the pool. Even though we didn’t have access to all the amenities, the staff did a phenomenal job and made our brief stay very enjoyable. I look forward to staying here once all the upgrades are finished.
Their oool is unusable thru December 2022…the notification of this looked just like a Covid warning at the top of the page so shame on me for it reading it. Then the a/c went out in the entire hotel and after I was sweating in my room for 3 hours I called to check the status. I was told it was fixed and when I said it was not working in my room they said oh, yes we need to change your room. They claimed they called but I was in the room the whole time. DO NOT STAY HERE UNTIL THE RENOVATIONS ARE COMPLETE. Even then, it’s still a s*%! hole.
