Arrived late in the evening so only slept there one night. Not the cleanest of places I have stayed in. We were going on a cruise the next day so opted for breakfast in the hotel which I thought was really expensive $25 per person which with the current exchange rate equated to £25 each for a buffet breakfast - not worth it.
This hotel in across the street from the Bayside Market Place, a huge mall with shopping, restaurants, excursions and entertainment. So much to see and do. Hotel is older and could use an update, however, the people are so friendly, rooms are spacious and very clean. Call the hotel directly to get the best price, they are less expensive than surrounding hotels. We had dinner an drinks at the Marina grill. Very good food and service. Breakfast buffet is served and they have a large assortment of breakfast items. Coffee is good also. We always stay there before we cruise. Port of Miami is 1.4 miles away. Uber to the port, much cheaper than a taxi.
We have stayed here several years ago. Recently I have read bad reviews but like the location since we were going on a cruise. Our flights were canceled & delayed so we arrived at the hotel at 1 am. I had called to let them know we would be late. Check in was quick. The room was clean & everything in working order. The furniture was updated. Check out was quick. The staff assisted us with a taxi to the port. Overall our stay was short but good. I would stay here again.
Got to hotel at 12:45 pm and our room was ready. Checkin quick and easy. Was assigned room 603- large corner room w 2 double beds and sofa bed overlooking bayside marketplace. No complaints about room. Everything was neat and clean in room, with nice Dove bathroom amenities. . No complimentary coffee or tea in lobby anymore, but there is a coffeemaker in room. The holiday inn sign is gone from front of hotel, and hotel will now be named Biscayne Palm. Changeover is in a month or 2 as I was told by front desk. But menus have new name on them. We have been to this HI many times and will definitely miss it as we always get on room with Ihg points, and location to cruise port, shopping and restaurants can’t be beat.
Absolutely gorgeous hotel near Miami airport and very close to the beach. The pool is amazing the water circulation with upwelling stilish, the rooms are big enough with fresh air.The gym equipment has all kind of exercises thank you souch I will definitely come back again
We stayed at this hotel as a last resort when the hotel we were meant to stay at gave away our reservation. I called Holiday Inn from the other hotel and made sure they had a room. The man that answered told me on the phone he could give me $100 off that night because of the situation. When we got there he did not honor giving the $100 off. When we got into the room it smelled like someone had sprayed an entire bottle of perfume. We could taste it. It was awful. I was even afraid to get my clothes out of my bag for fear they’d all smell so horrendous.
Holiday Inn down town is a very nice hotel. They even let us check in early seeing we got here about 1 o’clock and check in with an until three we asked for a room with a view of the port. It was an excellent for you and there is a shopping mall right on the water across the street with several restaurants And you can see from our room all the cruise ships I would highly recommend staying at this hotel
Restroom was very unclean, beds was small and uncomfortable, bathroom could’ve been cleaned better but was acceptable . Charge you for valet parking which I’d rather park myself but wasn’t allowed to accordingly to their policy and we booked a room for 4 people but the breakfast only included 2 which doesn’t make sines because their food wasn’t that good. The hotel is over priced for what you get. I wouldn’t recommend it at all based on my experience.
Very disappointing! We are loyal Holiday Inn patrons, so we expected much better than this hotel delivered. Our room was certainly not worth the high price we paid! Our shower head fell off so we showered with water spraying out of a pipe in the wall. We had a huge spotlight just 3 feet from outside our window which illuminated the building, making it feel like broad daylight even with the room darkening curtains closed. The carpets were torn and bathroom fixtures needed replacing. The mattress was concave making it uncomfortable for two people to sleep together. There was so much loud traffic noise. This was a terrible stay, and we would not recommend this hotel. Especially for the high price!
The hotel is in an excellent location very clean. It is within walking distance to shopping & food , not far from the port. The McDonald’s is on the same block as the hotel. Public transportation is also close by including the metro people mover which is a fun way to get around.
