Wally and May were amazing and so kind! Rare to go to a hotel that is so accommodating and clean! I’m very picky about cleanliness when I visit hotels and this is truly insanely fresh! The pool is EVERYTHING TOO
Absolutely worth staying!..From outside the looks can be deceiving but once you hit the pool/courtyard/tiki bar area, it's a game changer. This hotel is so dope, an awesome 50's hotel brought back to amazing life. The pool is huge and the tiki bar really brings the night life to the hotel. Rooms are spacious and all face the pool. Bathrooms are big and the shower was huge. Place is super clean and welcoming. The cafe attached to the hotel had some great pastries and was a cool addition to the hotel. If you love history and are looking to stay a little outside of South Beach, this is definitely the spot for you. I would go back in a heartbeat!!
I stayed for a 4 nights and had a really nice experience. The rooms were comfortable, cleaned well and you got two bottles of water every day. I didn't swim in the pool but I definitely lounged around it and enjoyed coffee there in the morning. The adjacent restaurant had a good food and a nice vibe. Would definitely stay again when we're in the area. I thought a really good value and loved the history.
Loved this hotel and the staff is LOVELY! Very accomodating and nice. Hotel was very clean, food at the diner next door was delicious, and it’s all very well located with easy access to the city. Walking around the neighbourhood is also great, had an awesome time and will defo be coming back.
My new favorite hotel anywhere! The Vagabond is a gem. The Mid Century style and decor is perfect. I could imagine Frank Sinatra staying here in the early 60’s. The hotel is spotless, the staff superb and the pool area gorgeous. I cannot wait for my next trip to Miami.
We stayed for a week and it was a really nice experience. The rooms were comfortable, cleaned well and you got two bottles of water every day. I didn't swim in the pool but I definitely lounged around it and enjoyed coffee there in the morning. The adjacent restaurant had a good food and a nice vibe. We would definitely stay again when we're in the area.
Resto-Mod - they kept the super fun mid-century motel elements and added enough new elements to freshen up this gem of a motel. Big bright room with fun/period appropriate furniture and fittings. Beautiful pool area with comfy loungers and lovely tropical plants/trees. I especially appreciate this motel and the other motels in the area still have the wonderful neon signs. We ate at the on-site restaurant (Mr. Mandolin) that serves good, moderately priced Greek Street food.
Great laid back vibe. Room very clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable, Room was extremely quiet, especially since there was a rowdy crowd at the pool bar one of the nights and could not hear it despite our room overlooking it. Wifi was fast enough and stayed connected. The complaints are minor. The ergonomics of the room are somewhat awkward- the sink is tucked in the corner and somewhat obstructed by the AC unit, bedside lamps can only be shut off from a wall switch across the room, in the age of everyone traveling with electronic devices there are very very few places to plug in your stuff.
The Vagabond Hotel is beyond spectacular. As a resident of this city, this is where I send my guests when they come to visit. In addition to the incredible history of the place (and the entire MiMo district in which it's located), the hotel is a pleasure for all the senses - it is stylish, comfortable, friendly, and its retro-chic vibe will make you feel like you're experiencing a version of Miami that is long gone. The pool area and bar are delightful, they have excellent cocktails. And the restaurant attached to the hotel means you don't have to go far to get great coffee, pastries for breakfast, and mediterranean wraps and fries for lunch (at Mr. Mandolin). We rented the whole hotel out for our wedding party and our guests raved about the hotel all weekend. Many have already said they will be coming back to stay again for a Miami getaway weekend. Most of all, May and the whole Vagabond team/staff are amazing. They made the wedding weekend so memorable and comfortable. I could not recommend this spot more, do not miss out on staying here!…
We really loved staying here in a 2 twin bed room! Juan Arias was a great guest services agent and gave us really great pointers of the area. The rooms were so exciting to stay in. The beds were super comfy and roomy, the shower actually had great pressure and was a huge walk in so it was very accessible. The pool and it’s lounging area around it was also really comfy and fun. Overall really great experience. Highly recommend if you want to get out of the typical hotel aesthetic and be close to an activity and cultural filled area.
