Chose to stay as W for business given brand recognition. I gave this hotel 4 stars, because of two reasons. 1. Lobby is tiny. I mean tiny. I guess all the action is in the back of the hotel? I don’t know. It would have been nice if during checkin they explained to me what was where and a map or something. Nothing! It was, “here is your room key and there is the elevator.” For a new guest, you are left to figure it out on your own. 2. During checkin I “kindly” asked for an upgrade. Front desk advised me they were sold out. I get it, but we started to talk about my company and mysteriously an upgraded room appeared!?!?!? I know, don’t complain about an upgrade and I am grateful, but why lie to my face and then change your mind based on my company? Not cool. Room was fantastic. No complaints there! Checkin can use some work.…
I did not hesitate to write reviews when Mark mentioned it out. We were there during our first year anniversary, as a good service hotel who's name Mark from concierge upgraded our room to corner room with hand written note for our first year anniversary in the room with fruit and snacks plate. This is something should mention it out as 5 stars concierge services, Small things makes different, enjoyed our stay there and please let me know when you in Boston staying, will make sure I take care of you as well! CB
We traveled for swim week, and I am so happy we went with the W! We had such a great experience. The service exceeded our expectation, especially our waitress, Rachel, she was amazing! Will definitely be returning.
We went to W Miami to celebrate my father’s birthday and we loved it! I contacted concierge to prepare a birthday card and photo and they just went above and beyond! There was a cake, prosecco, hand written card and a beautiful photo frame with our family photo! Those small details and surprises are priceless and my father will keep it forever in his memory! Special thanks to Mark for preparing such a wonderful surprise! Before our stay I had purchased some things online and emailed Mark to please keep it for when we arrived and he was always very attentive and kind! His service really made all the difference on our stay!! The location is perfect, close to everything, many shops and restaurants near by. I would definitely stay again at W Miami and recommend to anyone!!
The hotel/valet lost my rental car key and were very little help (other than a quick search for the key). I had to coordinate and pay a tow company to tow the car from the hotel garage to the airport car return … and I was charged by Hertz for the replacement key ($250). The valet manager and the hotel manager committed to reimbursing me (on multiple occasions) but did not follow through. The hotel nor the valet reimbursed me for their mistake… and they “ghosted” me once I left town. Further, I returned to Brickell 6 months later for work and spoke to the hotel manager on duty about the matter (different person than the first) and she committed to follow up with me after looking into it… I never heard from her.
I had not visited Miami for several years until now, but I’m so glad I chose the W Miami for my stay. Everything about this hotel is spectacular. Location (Brickell), spa, gym, pool (great scene 👀dining options, room with a view, and the incredible people/staff. From the time I pulled up, to my check in and departure, this warm, friendly, and helpful staff was phenomenal! I’ll definitely be back soon🙌😎
Beautiful property and friendly staff in the restaurant and at the wet deck. Unfortunately the check in process was a joke… after checking in I was told my payment wasn’t captured but the money was removed from my account and that the front desk person who checked me in would look into what happened… I called my bank and the money was successfully removed from my account. Fast forward to a few hours later, I was upstairs eating in the restaurant and received over 10 fraud alerts from my bank. I wrap up dinner and head downstairs only to discover I was wrongfully locked out of my room because the property had no idea where my money went!!!! Not only was I locked out of my room and annoyed the properly tried authorizing my credit card that’s on file for my Marriott account without my knowledge….. thankfully I keep my credit card locked via my banking app but they triggered my banks fraud alerts and I had to spend over 15 mins in the lobby going thought security questions with my bank. I was also told by the front desk staff that they have no control over what their credit card machine does and they have no idea where my original payment went although the money is missing from my bank account they have no record. I am absolutely over this property and I am trying my best to not let them ruin my trip. AN ABSOLUTE CURCUS!!!! Next time I will take my talents to the south beach location. You’ve been warned!!!!…
Well located, close to Miami downtown and to lots of restaurants and places to visit. Really friendly service and everyone was really nice and attentive. The hotel itself is good and has some interesting designs.
This was my worst hotel experience in recent memory. This hotel apparently believes that not giving customers water glasses is a sound COVID prevention measure. The bath towels remind me of those I used in my college days they were so badly worn. They failed to clean My room and basically provided no amenities. I managed to find a service cart in the hallway and helped myself to a pack of q tips. I ordered room this morning and the food was ice cold. I could go on but you would think I was making it up.
We stayed at W Miami after we stayed at Element Miami, our door didn’t open so we call security and they had to call engineers to manage to open the door after that the door didn’t open from the outside even whit a key, then our room phone didn’t work as well, the engineer tried to fixed in unsuccessful. Then we call Uber for food and the Manager was rude at us and wanted to leave because he couldn’t handle the situation. I didn’t live a situation like this ever. Worst hotel in Miami, if you wanna waste your money, time and experience you should go to another hotel. This isn’t a 4 star hotel.
