I checked in to the Hilton Hotel Downtown Miami, I was lost, I had lots of anxiety and needed direction to complete a surprise Birthday set-up. FREDDY(Bell Man) made sure I was calm, and helped me with all my bags/belongings etc. Very patient, diligent and his work ethic was amazing. His customers service was beyond my expectation. My needs were meet. This guy deserves recognition from upper management.
I read all the reviews and I wasn’t sure I wanted to stay here but my admin booked my room here and I actually like this hotel. The elevators were a little confusing. There was one set to get to the street level and valet and one set that takes you to the rooms and to the conference area. But the set in front of check in would take you to the conference area too and the street level. I am not sure I actually figured that out the entire few days while here. The hotel had a resultant and bar area. The food was decent. Room service breakfast was extremely slow, well over a hour and a half for bacon, eggs and toast. The roof top pool area is small but fine for an afternoon of relaxation. The room was updated and clean. Nice shower. My room was higher up with views of the water and cruise ships coming in. Very close to port. I have stayed in many hotels, some that I never even get to get to write a review on because I do travel so much. I usually only review the really good or the really bad! The okay I just leave if I’m short on time. I must say this hotel had the most comfortable mattress I think I have ever slept on in a hotel. I was really impressed with the mattress for a Hilton at that. I know there’s more upscale hotels in the area but this one was very close to where I needed to be so that’s how I usually pick them. I will probably go back just for the mattress if nothing else and ask for the same room. Crazy I know! There are numerous restaurants in the area along with shopping so you are very close to everything. I was just focused on business.…
This hotel was awesome! Andy specifically was super accommodating and helped with every request and question that we had. The bar had some great food as well, specifically the conch fritters! Can’t wait to come back!!
Stayed in a King bay view corner suite. Pros: Hotel was close to everything 10mins to South Beach, less than 7mintues to Midtown and 5mins to Wynnwood. Amazing views with floor to ceiling window Cons: Rooms has no balcony so if balcony is mandatory and you're brand loyal to Hilton check out the double tree which is literally across the street has views of the Bay and balconys. Rooms are dated and can use some updates especially to the bathroom, hallways and entry way
Nice and clean hotel, large rooms and parking is convenient ($25/day). Nice view from the 18th floor. Excellent staff!! Britani assisted me with a few requests and she was outstanding, very quick to resolve issues and pleasant to deal with! Also, Daniela at the restaurant was excellent! She took care of us at breakfast, made us feel very welcome even tho she was very busy, as all tables were taken. These two ladies and the service they provide would make me consider staying at the hotel again. Cons: didn’t stay in South Beach, as I was trying to avoid the party scene and loud clientele; but during the weekend it was definitely a lot of partiers staying here; lots of people were hanging out in front of the hotel on the couches drinking and smoking. Wouldn’t recommend staying here on weekends for families; might be different during the week.…
