This was our second visit to Mexico Beach, and second stay at Gulf View Motel. We enjoyed our stay here, both times in efficiency room five. It is a family owned and operated seaside motel. Don't be alarmed by one particular grumpy staffperson, because Jamie, the housekeeper, more than makes up for the lack of friendliness thereof. The beds and...

I hesitate to write a review because the big problem we had is going to be addressed by the owner. We knew that room 8 was small before we made our reservation, so that was not an issue. However, the shower is extremely small and a large/tall person would not be comfortable. The room was clean as other people noted....

We stayed here for four nights and for $62 including tax, you can't really go wrong. Our room had a small kitchenette (with stove) and was easy to load in and out of. The service was great, although sometimes you needed to call the desk as the fellow was also working on renovating two of the rooms. It was quiet,...

I was so blessed to find this motel ! The desk manager was so nice and escorted us to our room personally. Very relaxed area with custom built swings to enjoy. Defiantly will return. The sleep two had a small shower but the room itself is a nice size. Great for a get a way ! It has a medium...

We stayed in suite 7 for one night and are hooked! It was very reasonably priced and didn't hit the wallet too hard. There was a sweet little Koi pond just outside the door. The room was very clean and the shower was HUGE! We did not see any pests at all in the room. In fact, it was probably...

Family-owned property since 1986. Jan & Chuck Smith (siblings) live on the property and have 9 rooms for rent. Marcie is a super housekeeper and keeps the rooms very clean. I stayed in Room 3 (2 rooms with queen bed & 2 twins, kitchenette) and then Room 8 (small room, queen bed, refrigerator and microwave). It is across US 98...

The room is clean, nice, and very comfortable. We were told there was wifi in all the rooms, only there isn't. The only wifi is if you are standing outside the office since you can't go in because they are remodeling it. No microwave in the efficiency either.

This was our second time staying at the Gulf View Motel and we love it. This is the way Panama City was forty years ago. The motel is very clean and comfortable. The rooms have kitchenettes, but no microwaves. The prices are reasonable. Chuck is the owner and one man show, his sense of humor is great and will make you...

We were happy to find an affordable clean place to stay near Port St Joe. Gulf View is conveniently located. Just steps to Mexico Beach. We stayed in room #4. It was recently renovated, very clean, and stocked with everything you need in the kitchenette. It easily accommodates 4 people. The cons are that it doesn't have a microwave. I...
