Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The room booked was an ocean view with a balcony. When walking into the room all you could smell was mold. Thought maybe the smell would stop after leaving the balcony door open. The bad smell didn’t stop. If I would have known this, would have stayed else where. Not worth the money spent on this room. The reviews seemed decent when booking. Disappointed, and now a sinus infection due to this unsafe condition.

Hotel's Favourite
We have just returned to the UK after a 3 week Orlando holiday with the last 6 nights being at the Barefoot Beach Club. We booked this to wind down after theme park madness and the hotel was perfect for that We had a 2 bedroom partial gulf room and the space this gave us was perfect, full kitchen and washer/dryer which enabled us to have some down time, nice to have a balcony and large bathrooms Always a good supply of beach towels and just a wander to the beach Being near Johns Pass was fantastic Every member of staff we dealt with were really helpful Would book again

This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay. We went out of our budget to book an oceanfront room but it was worth it! The room was great, clean and the view...well words cannot express the view! The check in was easy and the young lady at the front desk was very friendly. We had no issues with the room and enjoyed our stay very very much. Parking was easy and the location was great. We stayed three nights and all three we walked the couple of blocks to Johns Pass to shop and eat. The only negative thing I could possible say is the elevator is slow...ha ha. But they do have an elevator. (it was not really a problem). We were assigned a room on the 4th floor and it was awesome. You could cook with a microwave if you chose, the room had a little kitchen set up, but I don't cook on vacation! We had a lovely balcony to sit and listen and watch the waves. The beach there was very very clean and fortunately for us was not crowded during the week the last week of February. One thing we liked, but some may not was they did not provide daily maid service in the room. We have no problem with this at all. They have a great system. They leave a basket in your room and you can put towels and even linens you want replaced in the basket and set it outside of your door in the morning. They replace whatever you place into the basket with clean ones. They also have a card you can fill out should you need more shampoo, conditioner etc. Very convenient and worked wonderfully. When my husband went to check us out the fellow at the desk was also friendly. I just cannot say enough good about Barefoot Beach Club. Should we ever decide to go back to this area of Florida we will surely go back here to stay. We used it as a base and easily traveled up then down the coast to sightsee. One last thing you have your choice of a key card or a rubber wristband. The band is waterproof and it opens your room door so if you go to the beach or swimming you are wearing your room key and don't have to worry about it getting lost. If you've been to Disney it is similar to a magic band. Oh...the pools. It was too cool for swimming but the big pool was really nice and they had a hot tub and another pool, but we didn't use any of those.

You can't beat the location. If you want something on the beach and don't care about bell and whistles this hotel is for you. The rooms are bare bones with limited amenities. The bed was on a weird metal frame that made a lot of noise when you moved or kicked it. The bed is a long way from the AC in our room (303) so it was quite warm at night even when it was set to 68f! The pool is small, and the the hot tub very small. Overall the room and hotel was clean, but was in need of a freshening up. The staff were friendly and helpful. You can walk to Johns Pass in about 5 minutes, where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. Overall our stay was comfortable, but not sure I would stay there again.

We had a wonderful experience at this property. The location was close to John’s Pass where you can find restaurants, bars and shops. It’s also close to public transportation. The room was nice with a view of the pool and the staff was terrific. The beach was right next door and it was beautiful. No trash, powder sand and lots of walkers. Also a great view of the sunset.

This is a relatively new facility, they are currently under some renovations and improvements. Pros: hard to beat the location, it is right on the beach, and a 5-7 minute walk to John's Pass (eateries and shopping). They have a pool and hot tub as well as a weight room but that is currently relocated inside the laundry room :( . Cons: we were there off-season but the Office was frequently closed. On Sunday I was swimming and realized there was no towels left, called the Office but it was closed. they advertise 2 pools, but not really, the second so-called pool is 9 inches deep with sprinklers. I was dismayed by all the price add ons, They charge a hefty resort fee but if you want to use a cabana or beach lounger with shading it is extra. they charge a separate parking fee ( not unusual but still annoying). They advertise gas grills but I did not see any. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were hard and not comfortable. The location pretty much trumps the negatives, but not sure I would return for a stay

Thank you for your review. We are currently finishing our ground floor bathrooms for the pool and our new gym. Our Resort fee includes parking and is not additional unless you have more than 1 vehicle. Large Pool Cabanas and Beach Loungers are an extra fee as we only have 2 of the Pool Cabanas. Gas grills are located on the north side of the property. We are sorry you didn't see them. The grilling deck is huge! And has corn hole boards to pass the time while grilling. Our shallow pool is a cool off pool or a wading pool. It's great for small children or lounging. We thank you for staying with us.

Second visit here & just as good. It's such a great location for everything. Once again we took the buses everywhere ( stop right outside ) & didn't bother with a car. Many restaurants within walking distance at John's Pass & a 7-11. Check in nice & easy. Room was excellent. We had a beach front queen suite. Fridge, coffee machine, microwave & plenty of crockery & utensils. Bed was really comfy. Two pools, one just for paddling & a spa. Absolutely love the Moses basket system for your fresh towels & toiletries. Literally leave it outside your room by 9.30am full of your dirty towels & soon after it's returned with fresh towels & any shampoo etc you requested. So efficient. Staff are all fantastic & super helpful. Hope to go back😁
