Although I reserved the room through a booking site, I made a point to contact the hotel directly to assure that the room had 2 beds. The day we arrived, the desk clerk was unfriendly and we were put into a room with a king bed. After trekking our bags to the room to discover it was not what we... More

I am actually the manager who helped you with your rooming issues. Unfortunately when booking through the online TA's bed types are not guaranteed. I am so happy we were able to give you what you needed but am sorry it meant moving.... We hope you will return again. More

This place is situated on the main road so there is some traffic noise. The view of the ocean is fab & there are beds & hammocks on a little private beach. There is a raised pool area although quite small it is fine for sept/oct. The 2 bed apt was v big with 2 bathrooms. The beds are soooo... More

Our first time to the keys and we decided to stay somewhat in the middle on Long Key. We stayed a week in Room 155 of the Hemmingway Master Suite and it was lovely. But, we started the trip in room 135B. This was a two queen unit that would never have worked for a week but for the night... More

This trip was our second stay at this cute motel. Very well kept and the staff is helpful and wonderful. It's hard to find good places to snorkel in the Keys unless you take a long trip on a boat. We're happy to say that you can get plenty of beautiful snorkeling in right at the property and to make... More

The check in was not the greatest as they charged me $15 more per night since our autistic son was with us, even though I had paid for 2 queen beds. The room itself was nice except the ceiling fan had not been cleaned in ages. The landscaping was very nice and the pool was good. Nice snorkeling on the... More

Thank you for your comments. The room rate is for 2 people, so with 3 (or 4) there is an additional charge. This is common in most hotels, and this should have been charged when you booked it for 3 people. I also apologize for the fan and hope that this was addressed while you were here so it could... This place exceeded all of our expectations. We spent two nights there on a recent vacation. This is a small resort on a quiet key, below the touristy Key Largo. We parked the car and walked down a beautiful path between two of the buildings which opened up to a slice of paradise. Our room opened onto the white sand,... More

We appreciate your review and are happy to know you enjoyed your stay. The studio rooms where you stayed are some of my favorites. Quiet and peaceful with as you point out the best view. We recently added additional hammocks as this is just the place to lay and relax in them. Our sea life off the pier is abundant... More

I had read the previous reviews and was prepared for not the friendliest staff and although they weren't horrible they weren't that friendly either (we found that service at restaurants and other places in the Keys wasn't that friendly either). Your review unfortunately is not an accurate description of the events that occurred.
