Not very clean in the hallways, lots of stains in the carpet. Smelled. The rooms were not bad but due to the condition of getting there made us apprehensive about the rooms Something in the room hummed all night
When we checked in, the only positive about our experience was that the front desk staff were nice. The room we were given had bugs on the bathroom counter and in the towels. The towels had what looked like blood stains on them and it was on all the towels, not just one of them. Also, the water in the room would barely get warm. We went to the front desk and were given a new room. When we moved to it, the balcony door was open. We tried to lock the door but there wasn’t a lock installed in the door frame for the lock to hook into. The “wall” between balconies was something I could easily climb over, so our room was clearly not secure. As two females traveling alone, we did no feel safe! Nor did we feel confident in leaving our things unattended. We called Expedia to change hotels because we no longer felt safe there and we’re grossed out by the lack of cleaning. We also didn’t want to move rooms -again.- We were told that they’d need to speak to the manager because our fee was non-refundable but they couldn’t get in touch with the manager. They offered to give us a third room, so we decided to look at it before we moved yet again. This time, the key to the room didn’t work. So, we tried to call down to the front desk. Every time we called the front desk during our stay, no one ever answered. As we checked out today, we noticed it looked like the floors were never vacuumed. There was dry macaroni noodles, hair and dirt in the edges between the wall and floor. Honestly, this was the nastiest hotel. Just don’t stay here. There’s plenty of places for the same price that are much better! …
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. After reading reviews I was terrified that it would be awful. However when we arrived, the hotel was beautiful. The front desk staff were friendly, rooms were clean and updated and the breakfast was amazing. It reminded me of when I traveled to Italy. And the inspirational signs all over made you feel so good each day. The pool is on the small side but if you are spending the day out and about, this is the place for you. Excellent
Checked in this place and due to traveling I carry a black light and both beds had body fluids on them and when I asked for sheets they said no and said I give u a room and then 2 men escorted me and I am a women so I don’t understand why that was needed but that room I checked the sheets and the worker yelled at me in a foreign language because I pulled the sheets back and there it was more body fluids and crusty food. They refuse to refund and a manager was not able to be contacted and they gave me a fake email for me to contact the manager. Don’t stay here guys
We booked the Palazzo Lakeside hotel for our 30th anniversary celebration and for a hotel that preaches love and gratitude on every wall of the hotel , they sure don’t practice what they preach. We had hoped that for $130 per night that we would have a lovely room with some nice amenities but the hotel is run on a very tight budget which we have no issue with and actually applaud it but it would have been nice to know this up front as there as we were after a little luxury for our Special occasion but there in none of this whatsoever So to substantiate this , you seldom see a cleaner or any cleaning taking place and there is no housekeeping or cleaning of the room even though we spent 5 nights here, it references a view of the lake but you had to lean over the balcony and look to the left to see a glimpse of it , we actually faced the garbage bins which are not kept clean or tidy even though there are gates to hide them . The balcony furniture is pretty filthy and the patio doors leading out are worn out and you struggle to open/shut them and they don’t lock but thankfully they have welded a bar to the frame itself so use this to secure them as the scrupulous persons out there could easily walk along the low wall between all rooms on the same floor .the corridors were carpeted on our level but are pretty filthy and all stained so it’s just as well the lighting level is very low , I noticed the ground floor has ceramic which at least can be cleaned if spillage occurs. It references no smoking but there are cigarette butts littered in many areas including the small seating area .The breakfast (which is extra $$ ) is very basic but ok, the menu literally consists of an egg and sausage one day, pancakes and a sausage the next or bacon and pancakes, no breakfast cereal other than oats . A small selection of meats and fruit is also available but the breakfast room is the cleanest in the building and feels comfortable so well done here .The gym is a non event And lastly Fernando and the night manager lady who run the reception are in dire need of some customer service training as they promised to address the overcharging issue but actually done nothing and we’re just telling you what you wanted to hear rather than actually doing anything and this appeared to be the case for others that you overheard whilst in the reception lobby.…
I had to cancel my reservation through booking.com due to circumstances I had no control over, and booking.com tried to contact them but they were never available to answer calls. I also sent them messages about the refunds but they say “please contact booking.com” as if they don’t wanna deal with refunds. It’s their way of delaying and eventually we forget about it, they hope. This is so frustrating. So basically they took my money without giving refunds even though I wasn’t able to get there because of something I had no control over. They’re really greedy and unreasonable. Also they blocked me on Google map as I wasn’t able to write a review!! How nasty of them. They’re the nastiest business I’ve ever encountered!!
The gentleman at the front desk help us very good and very polite specially the guy with blue eyes it’s great to see young people . Everything was clean and great good . I definitely came back with my family again
I booked this hotel for 2 nights . When I got there they refused to check me in claiming they would issue a refund but they are refusing to refund my money now . This hotel will rip you off buyer BEWARE !
To be fair, the hotel is undergoing reconstruction currently so there might be renovated rooms that don’t match our experience. The room we got was horrible. Very bad smell, maybe even mold on the ceiling, the bath was horrible too (rusty toilet, cheap installation of the washing table, stains, etc.), the door looked knob almost felt off. The balcony had some weird bubbles at the ceiling that sometimes dripped. Some bulbs were defect. The list could go on and on. If you must visit the hotel, insist on a new room, maybe there you have better luck. The old one we stayed in is really terrible.
While I understand there was a hurricane, I do not understand why the calls were not answered or forwarded to give guest information if this was one of the hotels closed in the Orlando area. There was also no email responses. When I finally reached the hotel by phone a day later to ask for a refund it was denied. I did book a different hotel because this one was non responsive. There was also a refusal to allow me to speak to a hotel manager. They would only give the email for which I already had no response. Be careful booking during hurricane season.
