Total shambles. Apartment smells damp. Service is awful. We checked in quite late, did a quick check of what was in the kitchen. It’s supposed to be for 4 people. We had one knife , 3 forks. 3 wine glasses, a mismatch of plated. There were no tea towels, no oven gloves. No grill pan. No kettle. Placed a call to ask if we could have the items sent to the room the next day. We wanted to make a drink so I asked if we could go to get a kettle. Surprised to be told “we no longer provide kettles” I was asked if anything else was missing. I said I did not know as there was no inventory and suggested housekeeping came by the next day to do an inventory check. They would be with us at 8.00 am. 09:15 we called, seems we should not have been given that time as they start at 8:00. At 10:30 we called to say we were going out. We returned at 14:30 to find a bag with 4 forks tied to the door. We called to ask where the rest of the stuff was, and we’re told nothing was missing.! My husband asked where they had put the tea towels, he was told “we don’t have any” use kitchen roll. Where’s the oven gloves? Again they don’t provide them (we are now using towels and flannels) We’ve given up getting any knives, plates or bowls. We went to use the “summer kitchen” none of the BBQ grills were working. People from other apartments came to tell us they’d reported 5 times, each time being told someone was on their way. Thus far (we are still here) this place would get zero… it’s awful. They have even called to ask us to attend a sales presentation Get your house in order first. The laundrette facilities are in the block. Machines are dirtier than the clothes.

We are owners and let me tell you, this place is disgusting and outdated. We will NEVER be back! Upon check-in to our two-bedroom unit we found: our main door did not close all the way-had to be slammed to ensure it locked the entire unit was filthy-dust caked on/near AC exhausts ants all over the kitchen no dish towels paper towel thinner than toilet paper no toilet paper rod in master bathroom toilet tank was too small in master bathroom 3 conditioners, no shampoo in unit, no washcloths in unit empty soap wrapper in cabinet bugs in master bed a dried, crusty booger on master pillow case carpeting was FILTHY Wifi: we had to call the front desk because when we connected to wifi, there was a fee (supposed to be free to owners); took forever for someone to answer our call blinds in kitchen and both bedrooms barely closed-privacy was compromised Drafts sports bar: no draft beer, no corona bottle, one option for wine (cheap stuff) people in pools late night with their radios blasting When I reported all of this via a feedback text, Asia called the next day to "rectify" the situation. I asked to be moved to an updated/clean room and she said we were in the most updated villas-WOW! Her solution? To send an obnoxious amount of shampoo, conditioners, soaps, and a bag of towels so big, it took two of us to lift it into our room (I asked for 3 shampoos and 5 washcloths). After a long, exhausting day at Islands of Adventure, we returned to find that 3 of our keys had been timed out and we could not enter our unit. While in line at the front desk, I spoke with another unit owner. This was on Thursday-he said he had checked in Sunday and had been to FOUR DIFFERENT UNITS and ALL of them were outdated and filthy. Shame on Westgate for letting their rooms become so disgusting and outdated. Instead of focusing on all the scam artists trying to sell more units, they should scale back on these employees and put their money toward keeping their owners happy and satisfied. Disgusting and filthy!

The villa we stayed in was excellent. It had been refurbished and suited us to a tea. Only 1 moan. They didn't change the linen after the 1st week we stayed. They were fully aware but seemed to forget. However it was sorted and we continued to enjoy Orlando. The weather was cold when we stayed but the pool we were next too was heated. Looking forward to coming again.

Aside from a confusing check in process, this was a fantastic stay for us. There is not enough parking near the town hall to handle all the check ins in the late afternoon. Once we got through that, everything was very good. There was a crew doing renovations on the building next door but there was no unreasonable noise. The villa we had was spacious, well equipped and perfectly clean. The bed was comfortable, the pillows great and the jacuzzi in the bedroom was phenomenal. We only went to one pool and really didn't do much else at the resort, but there were plenty of kids enjoying the Waterpark and activities. We would not hesitate to book here again.

My husband and I traveled with our two kids (age 12 and 8) during the Christmas break. We arrived the afternoon of the 24th and the lobby was an absolute zoo- check in line was very long, took my husband over 45 minutes to check in. While we were waiting, the kids and I ordered lunch from Sid's Bistro- the service was friendly and the food was actually very good. We then checked into our place- a deluxe villa. I was a little skeptical a first because the outside of the buildings look a little run down but the inside of the deluxe villa was absolutely gorgeous! It was huge and perfect for our 6 day stay. We had a full kitchen, huge living space, separate bedroom for the kids, master bedroom for us, two bathrooms. And our building was right across the parking lot from one of the pools. Because we had a full kitchen, we drove to the local grocery store and stocked up on groceries for the week and only ate out a few times. The place is conveniently located near a Walmart, CVS, Piggly Wiggly, and many other shops and restaurants. One thing to note about the Villas- there is no cleaning service. You have to call housekeeping to pick up the garbage or bring you towels. The deluxe villa does have laundry which was nice- so we were able to wash our clothes and towels throughout the week. The grounds and pools seems very well maintained. We never did see anyone check the water quality in the pools, but they were generally pretty clean. All the pool areas also had hot tubs which was nice. We tried 3-4 different pools during our stay. In addition to tennis courts, basketball courts, shuffleboard, there is also a beautiful softball diamond on property- they really should use that for planned activities. My one MAJOR complaint is the Activities department. One of the reasons we booked this place specifically was because of all the activities and amenities, and we were very disappointed: 1. The staff at the Activities center is not well trained or helpful. We are used to places like Club Med and Marriott Vacation Club, and this is NOT that. Because of COVID, we did not participate in any of the crafts or scheduled activities, but when we tried- the Center was either closed or the staff didn't know what was happening. 2. All my son wanted to do the entire trip was play basketball and the center NEVER had any basketballs. We were told that they started with 7 and were now down to 3 and those never got returned or were repeatedly checked out. You shouldn't have to go to the Activities Center (about 3/4 mile from our place) to check out a basketball that is never there. They should keep a bin of basketballs at each court and allow guests to use them at the court. 3. Same with shuffleboard- you have to walk all the way to the Activities Center to check out the shuffleboard sticks and pucks and then lug those to the shuffleboard courts. They should keep those at the courts and allow guests to use them at their leisure. 4. It seemed that they only had one or two sets of tennis rackets (they were never available each day we went there). 5. They have these beautiful swan boats in the lake- and when we asked about them, they were all broken except one two-seater which had a waiting list since there was only one boat available. 6. The mini golf was great- cute dinosaur theme, always had balls and clubs. The course is starting to get a little run down though- a few of the holes had some water damage. We went to the water park on Christmas Day and due to staff shortages, some of the slides were closed so we got to use the water park for free. And the kids had a blast. The slides are fun. It really is a shame that people have to pay a resort fee AND pay for the water park. We lucked out to go for free- but it really should be included with the resort. We also ordered lunch there and the food was pretty good. Our last night we went to the nice Italian restaurant and it was generally a good experience. The server was friendly but she got our wine order wrong and it took her over an hour from when we sat down to eventually bring our bottle of wine. But the food and ambiance was excellent. Resort is near Disney but quite a bit of traffic to and from. It often took us over 10 minutes just to go one mile. We visited Universal when we were there and it took us almost 40 minutes or longer to get there and back due to traffic. Bottom line: accommodations were great, food was great, grounds/pools were great; service and activities were sub-par. My advice to travelers: bring your own sports equipment if you can, if you want to be able to use the amenities. (Or travel during non-peak times). My advice to the resort: increase the resort fee a little bit and include everything (water park, bikes, boats, etc); invest in some good activities staff to run sports games and other non-craft activities; and invest in more sports equipment and leave it at the courts/facilities.

Biggest disappointed I’ve ever had. We checked in on 5/29/2021 and what a total nightmare. Unit was big but it was filthy. No one cleaned unit. Shower and bathroom dirty. Floors in bathroom and living room area disgusting. No towels or linens, not even a frying pan to make breakfast or a broom to clean. We were given one pillow per bed and this was a unit for 8 people. Called and complained to front desk and all I got was sorry this is a holiday weekend and we don’t have enough help. I was looking forward to this vacation because I had recently lost my dad and sister and I am also in remission for breast cancel, so stress was the last thing I needed. But it gets better, my grandson steps on screws from broken lanai door, we encountered dead roaches and there were ants where we were to put our food. So I had to keep my food in boxes because I was afraid they would get into my food. Exterminator had to come twice to unit during my stay. They came and cleaned the floors and bathrooms the next day because they had send someone the night before close to 10 p.m. and my grandkids were already sleeping. At night the smell of marijuana in our area was terrible. After complaining to a manager in the front office they only had available a unit in the P building, second floor which was no good for me because I have issues with my legs and I had my grandkids. So we had to stay in unit assigned to us. I was in tears when I went to the concierge desk and complained. I would like to give Kudos to Gisselle, Wanna and Linsey from that desk because they were so very nice and tried to help. Our unit was in building II so it was all the way in the back. We didn’t see security that much while we were there. The restaurant Draft and Villa Italiano were good so that was the only highlight there for me. They gave us water park passes to compensate but the damage was done. Just a horrible experience altogether.

This resort’s rating should be seriously re-evaluated. We traded through Interval International and are unbelievably disappointed. It was a waste of my money. The sliding glass door from the master bedroom was not locked and could not lock. Fortunately we discovered it before we went to bed the first evening but after we had left all of our personal belongings in unit for hours after arrival. My husband was finally able to fix the latch to lock the door as it was after 11pm when we returned to our room. I bought the issue, as well as the black mold in guest shower, and the issue of many kitchen items missing from inventory to management’s attention the next morning. Maintenance did arrive to look at the door, but housekeeping did not show up. I reached out again two days later to be told housekeeping had closed the ticket. I insisted on an kitchen inventory list so I could inventory myself as I was not about to pay for replacing the missing items. It took another day to receive the inventory. I doubt I’m exaggerating that 20% of the kitchen items were missing. Housekeeping did arrive to clean the shower properly thankfully. Guest bath commode overflowed onto the floor twice during our stay. The night before we left, housekeeping was cleaning the unit above us and tossed a trash bag onto the landing above us as I was walking out of our unit. I was showered with the liquid that was in the trash bag as I walked into the sidewalk. As we were packing the car to leave the next morning, as I walked into our unit to pick up more personal items, housekeeping walked out of our unit. We still had many items in our room so it was obvious it was occupied. They had no housekeeping cart to indicate they were in our unit. She had absolutely no reason to be in our room. We’ve stayed at other Westgate properties in the past and were fairly pleased with our accommodations. This experience is making us think twice after ever staying with Westgate again. I strongly advise everyone to reconsider making any reservations at this property.

1/5 Room 4035 A. I paid over $500.00 for 3 nights, for my 5 year old daughter's birthday vacation. The whole ceramic floor was completely sticky and full of glass debris from a previous guest broken glass I fhink. I got one of those pieces stinging the sole of my while walking my 1 year old son to getting him asleep. I started obverving the floor and found them everywhere, specially on the living room carpet in front of the tv. All these good stuff they offer is downgraded to nothing because of the poor room service they have. Maybe the cleaning people skiped my room at all. Do not come to this crapy resort.
