We just spent 3 nights in Cottage #9. We loved the location - so close to so many activities and restaurants and also so close to the water. We didn't love our cottage as much...while it was very cute and charming, it made us feel...More
This is a Beautiful, quiet, convenient setting. Everything close and safe for the kids. It was Great for our kids, age 5-15. Not crowded, ever because of the private setting. My husband could easily head out on the kayaks from the resort for an hour...More

While I have not stayed here I have stayed at many places in the keys. There are not a lot of real beaches in the keys...each key is basically a rock in the water. If you want shelling the west coast of Florida, particularly Sanibel, would be the place. Most beaches are created by clearing rocks and dumping sand, then smoothing it out on a grade that gets deeper the farther it goes out. Walks on any beach in the keys would be a pleasure and sunsets are outrageous, particularly when you are equipped with a margarita!
