The hotel itself is very cute and quaint; however, it's very very outdated and the customer service is non-existent. We constantly had to ask the front desk attendant for fresh towels, soap, etc.. and when we did it was as if we were inconveniencing him and being a pest. The only vending machine on premises was sold out of water...

We are sorry you did not enjoy your experience at La Jolla Resort. We never overbook the resort and unfortunately parking is limited as we only have one space for every unit. We try to make sure everyone gets their space however sometimes issue do arise. In your case we did have the guest in the space next to you...

La Jolla is our new favorite place in Islamorada. It's a laid-back, clean, comfortable, old school resort that's right on the water and boasts a friendly, helpful staff. The grounds are beautiful (we debated asking for a cutting of one of the plumeria trees because they're so gorgeous), the pool is clean, and La Jolla offers bikes and kayaks for...

Ants got in the kitchen during the night and into all of our food. Toilet handle kept falling off. This place is in need of repair. We had stayed here before when it was under different management and it just seems that the place has gone into disrepair.

After researching the complaints raised in this review it has come to light that Deana is a family member of the person who posted the review titled "Looks can be deceiving". Obviously this is another attempt for revenge for being kicked out of our resort by the Sheriff's Department for rude and obnoxious behavior. We invite everyone to come check...

We love this location - we walked/biked to dinner, right on the water for fishing and swimming, and quiet (during the week anyway, weekends are not). Staff is really friendly and helpful. And the amenities are good - but they really do need to update - a/c ran non-stop and our mattress was lumpy.

Let's get something straight. La Jolla is not a pretentious resort. It's a down home, clean, realistic, GORGEOUS little motel on a little piece of land that's what I can consider paradise on earth. Iguanas and lizards abound, floral and gardens are meticulously kept. Pool is small, but clean and neat. The staff is VERY accomodating and helpful. Just ask...

We just returned to Jacksonville after a 3 night stay at La Jolla. We love this place. The rooms and the grounds are very clean and immaculate. Scott and his staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. The rates are very reasonable then they don't nickle and dime you to death....

We stayed at La Jolla the week after Easter. Our group consisted of three families. We choose La Jolla based on many of the reviews we read here on Tripadvisor. We, also, choose La Jolla for the affordability, the fishing pier and the free bikes, kayaks and paddle boards. We loved this motel, and that is what it is a...

Stayed here in march 2014. The grounds have become dilapidated at best. The second most expensive room had white stains on couches, the kitchen swarminhgwith ants after leaving soda in the sink while we were at supper. The microwave was something out of a horror movie. The ceilings were industrial panelling like you see in an office building or a...

This review an attempt by disgruntled guest who was removed from La Jolla Resort in the middle of the night by Monroe County Sheriff's Department because of his obnoxious and rude behavior. He is the only guest who has ever been removed since the current management has been in place which is since August 2011. While we are sorry for...

Our group consisted of 4 ladies on a girls weekend getaway. After spending 3 nights in Key West we were looking for somewhere easygoing and relaxing to spend a couple of days at. Clean and friendly with a helpful staff. This gem is old Florida Keys at its best. Great dock to fish off of, kayaks are free to use. We enjoyed our stay greatly! Will be back for sure... The manager Scott works hard to keep the place spotless!
