I vacationed here with two friends for a bachelorette trip. We were greeted by Kevin and his super cute and lovable dog Buddy. He gave us a tour of the place and he was very accommodating from beginning to end. We rented the cottage and it was perfect for three girls. Very nice furniture and comfy beds , huge shower...

We stayed in the boat on Kevin's property and everything was absolutely amazing! We were able to take the kayaks out to snorkel everyday and come back to grill out or have a nice dinner out! It was a spectacular getaway from the normalcies of life! Kevin is incredibly hospitable and will go to great lengths to make your journey...

Great retreat from the over development in the Keys. Kevin gets you acclimated with his easy style and you are instantly at home. Comfortable accommodations with privacy and beautiful views. Located on Lower Matecumbe Key just close enough to town for convenience and just far enough away for peace. We'll be back!

My boyfriend, dog and I stayed in the cottage, and it was super comfortable in every way imaginable. The AC was nice and crisp, bed super comfortable, and plenty of space to keep all of our things. The grounds were beautiful, and had plenty of stuff for us to do! We kayaked, rode the cruisers to a nearby cafe, snorkeled,...

Had a fantastic few days here....so good we stayed for an extra day!!!! If you want to relax and enjoy the real feel of The Keys ( as opposed to the hustle and bustle of Key West or Key Largo)..this is definitely the place to be.... If you're looking for genuine Key West ambiance, Best of Both Worlds is for you! We've stayed three times and have found Dana & Kevin to be the best hosts. If you're expecting fancy, this is not the place for you. What you'll find is simple, clean, roomy accommodations and lots of amenities on-site: docks, kayaks, easy gulf access, hammocks,...

Just returned from the Keys and this could not have been a better location. Kevin and Dana are extremely helpful and will do whatever it takes to make your vacation memorable. We had a boat and tied up on their sea wall the entire four days. Can't wait to go back for another visit.

This was a great spot for our families, one of our sons and his family had the cottage and the other son and his family the cabin. My husband and I were in the condo with the oldest grand daughter. 11 of us all together, but each had an escape hatch to their dwelling. The grand kids loved the geckos,...

What a special place Kevin and Dana have created! the landscaping, the amazing view, the hammocks, the various places to sit and relax, both in sun and shade, your own private patio table as well as a swing and a table right by the water, the included bikes, kayaks, snorkels - the colorful and funky decor, well supplied kitchen, closet...

We love this place! It is the what the old time Florida Keys are all about - laid back, relaxing, and spending time watching the boats pass by while your basking in sun. Or if you want a little more adventure ride bikes down to Anne's beach or into town, kayak and explore the coast, or walk the the bike...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located a quarter mile off the highway, this 1.75 Acres of private waterfront property is quiet, secluded, and lush with coconut palms and papaya trees. A slice of Old Keys-style paradise, there are only three units on the property, all of which have beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico and the many mangrove islands in the distance. Three of the units on the property are efficiency units and come with everything you need. Two are perfect for couples, and one is great for larger groups. The old conch-house style units are very clean and comfortable, with just a hint of the old quirky, "Keys-ee" decor. Have you ever wanted to try sleeping on a boat? We have one of sailboats waiting for you. Need room to spread out? Consider staying at the townhouse on the property next door. Only steps away from the water, you will not find accommodations that offer more peace, quiet, privacy, and amenities. Experience the beautiful sunsets every night, and take advantage of our complimentary bicycles, kayaks and snorkeling gear. Have your own boat? We've got plenty of room to dock it during your stay at no extra charge. Maybe you'd like to try sailing? We also have sailboats on the property available to rent. When you are not out sailing, snorkeling or kayaking, there is always plenty to see and do at the Best of Both Worlds, Islamorada. ... more   less
