We just returned from a week stay at one of Norman's rentals. We were very hesitant after reading several reviews. Norman was EXTREMELY helpful and accommodating. The unit was very clean and well furnished. He took us for a personal tour upon arrival and also allowed us an early check in and late check out. He even gave us a...

Kawama Yacht Club is not really a yacht club. The rental condos surround a man made salt water lagoon that has a small beach and a dock at the opposite end of the lagoon. The lagoon is full of tropical type fish and a resident Tarpon who can be fed. No fishing is allowed in the lagoon. There are two...

We just spent a month at Kawama Yacht Club in unit P-1. The resort was well kept, quiet and beautiful. Our grandkids came for a week and loved the lagoon, snorkeled in the ocean nearby and enjoyed the free use of kayaks and other equipment. We paid $5,000 for the month for a condo that slept 6 adults in beds...

Kawama is a family vacation location with a salt water lagoon, small beach, jetty, fishing, two heated pools, and another one for tower resident's, tennis courts and access to nearby fishing charters, boat rentals, jet skiing, sightseeing, snorkeling and diving, John Pennekamp State Park and numerous restaurants. We had been renting in Kawama for over twenty years and the Kawama...

We had a week at Kawama Yacht Club this summer. Depending on what you're looking for this is a great place. We really wanted to be on a beach that was easy to swim at and walk on. Kawama does NOT have these things. We definitely made lemonade out of this lemon but driving to beaches to do that (which...

Just finished a great birthday/family vacation. Stayed in unit R3. It's a very updated 2 story condo near the pool and lagoon. It has 2 very nice bedrooms and a loft room that would be great for kids. Norman Wartman was very accommodating. He's quick with the one-line jokes and is eager to bring you anything you have forgotten (seen...

First of all, this condo isn't fabulous, it isn't amazing. What it is - it's ok, adequate, "what you get is what you pay for". The condo is clean, if not a little tired, then again you could say that about Kawama. A lot of previous reviews mention Norman Watman, he's ok but an acquired taste. If I was to...

Beach and lagoon awful, Condo ok, pool is good. Unusable beach. Large rocks, trash and debris, heavy algae. Lagoon very dark and lots of algae. Good location, close to John Pennekamp, restaurants, shopping. If you just need a place to sleep that's close to attractions then it's fine.

I was not happy with the Kawama Resort. We stayed in unit M6 and there was no parking. If I parked in front of my unit I would have blocked the next unit in. I parked in the circle area under a tree and a very rude lady told me not to park there or I would get a ticket....

We stayed in K2 which is a 3 story 3 bedroom/3 bath set up. The concept of 3 floors works for a large family but in this case the execution was not so good. First of all, the condo is extremely dated and was originally constructed of cheap materials that have not withstood the test of time. We have kids...
