Very "old Florida" location with a restaurant next door. Individual cabins/duplexes, all look different. Lots of Florida vegitation along the gravel road. Parking is in front of unit. Easy walk to waterfront where there are kayaks available. We were traveling, had not planned well, and were told at the visitor center that this was the last place available so we...

Thank you for your review, we really appreciate it! “Old Florida” is a perfect way to describe our little slice of paradise. Our location on the magnificent Florida Bay provides a perfect, relaxing spot to enjoy the fabulous Florida Keys sunsets or to just chill by the water on our beach. We are always trying to find new ways to...

I stayed at the Pelican December 2016 before Christmas. It was just my sister and I, and the trip was very last minute. I have visited the Keys twice before in the past year, and wanted somewhere relaxing in the upper keys. The place I have stayed at before was booked, so I tried here. I was very happy with...

Thank you for the review! We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We will certainly address the issues that you mentioned with our maintenance staff. We promote a very quiet, laid back feel so we must apologize for your noisy neighbors. Sometimes the Keys can be a little too much fun. It is important...

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at The Pelican through the years. Since my last visit, the property has been combined with what was once it's neighbor. Old school Florida motel rooms. The property itself is great. Great location, great water views, common area, dock, kayaks, etc. I stayed in the room attached to the back of the office. Not the original Pelican property. The...

We love to gain insight from our repeat guests, this is how we continue to improve. We're sorry to hear that we didn't meet your expectations on your last visit. Our rooms closest to the office are our economy rooms and are priced accordingly because they are in such close proximity to the highway. I hope that on your next...

Myself and my wife stayed just for one night but would of loved to stay longer! The room was clean and tidy and spacious. We loved the free to use kayaks and watching the sun set whilst relaxing on the sun beds by the dock.

My wife and I spent 2 nights at The Pelican in December as an escape from the cold weather in TN. The staff was terrific and we especially liked the covered outdoor sitting areas as places to hang out and enjoy the weather while having a snack or drink. We stayed in one of the small cottages which was perfect...

Stayed at the Pelican one night on our way passing through to Key West. The room we booked was to small however the manager John was helpful in moving us to a larger cabin which was comfortable. Good location.

Adequate accomodation but FANTASTIC location. We booked for one night en route to Key West. The resort is very chilled and I think provides great value for money. It w is great for boat owners as they have free slips. Don't bother with the breakfast. We would return.

After the previous hotel this was a welcome change. Clean rooms and a very friendly and helpful staff. Great view from the docks and free BBQ grills to use. Because we did not have a reservation we stayed at the street side and that was a bit noisy.

These old-school beach cottages on a quaint waterfront cove with 4 docks, boat ramp, more than a dozen slips, free kayaks, BBQ grills and comfy chaise lounges aren't ritzy but they ooze Keys charm. If you want renovated rooms with modern baths, find a big-name chain. If you want to experience vintage Key Largo, look no further.
