Coming from the west coast, I checked in later in the evening. Tommy was still waiting for me and gave me a very thorough check-in, as well as showed me my room. They accommodated my stay on a busy weekend, and called me right away when there was a cancelation, preventing me from having to find another place for just one night. Isabella's was also great cocktails, excellent wine selection and delicious food!

Beautiful historic place with excellent food, music and free parking. Easy walk to all the fun spots, just what we wanted! Gulfport really reminds us of a Caribbean get away yet so easy to get to. Clearwater airport close by.

Just loved my stay at The Inn! Everything was so enjoyable; staff, rooms, food, parking and wifi!! Rooms were very comfortable and clean with great amenities. Breakfasts on the veranda on beautiful sunny mornings were just so memorable! Homemade muffins and scones, quiches and omelets, fresh fruit salads along with excellent coffee! WOW! In addition, there is a very popular restaurant in house! Inviting happy hour and wonderful dinner specials every night except Sundays! I highly recommend this unique Inn! Looking forward to my next stay!

We booked the rooms ahead of time and I was very curious about the hotel. It did not disappoint!! I love eclectic and this fits the bill. Our check-in went very smoothly and we were escorted to our rooms. We had rooms on the third floor ... riding in the elevator with the cage was a hoot! Our hosts were very friendly and accomodating. I had the Calcutta room with a king sized bed, 2 wing chairs and a mini fridge; it had windows that looked out onto the street. The bed was comfortable;it did take me a while to find the blanket in the closet around the corner. The only drawback was that the blinds on the window did not block out enough of the outside lights; I prefer blackout curtains when I sleep. The breakfast that was included in the morning was more than adequate for our needs. The casserole was absolutely delicious! We also enjoyed petting the dog while we were enjoying a snack in the lobby; Cocoa was very well behaved and did not beg or whine-- she just looked at me pathetically enough to make me laugh out loud.

We wanted to go somewhere for 3 nights and I'd read that Gulfport FL was a cheaper version of Key West. It's not at all like Key West. The Historic Peninsula Inn was a nice place to stay and had a wonderful homecooked breakfast each morning. It was a friendly place with a restaurant on site that we did not choose to eat at but it appeared to be full at dinnertime each day. Large, spacious suites are apparently the way all rooms are designed. I would definitely choose to stay at this Inn if we decide to return to Gulfport.
