A pleasant B & B set in its own ground not far from both Newark and Lincoln. The room was clean and comfortable with a decent en-suite, the room had a balcony, had the weather have been a bit better we may have used it. Breakfast for us was just toast and coffee, our choice, so I can't comment further...

A really lovely B&B. Richard and Alison couldn't have been nicer and were happy to help with anything. We had 2 lovely rooms, both with en-suites and a fantastic breakfast both days made with local produce. We will definitely go back

Fir Tree Cottage B & B was a champion find. My boyfriend and I had planned to go to the Newark antiques fair on the Thursday. The B & B is perfectly placed for visitors of the fayre. We stayed for three nights, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. It was a lovely home from home. I loved the 30's style of...

My mum, bridesmaids and I stayed at Fir Tree the night before my wedding. What a beautiful place tucked just away from the main road. Richard was so helpful and went above and beyond for us. Clean and pretty rooms, great breakfast, and lovely view from my window. Richard was very accommodating and I couldn't have asked for anything else....

Charming B&B in lovely surroundings. Even in the depths of winter there was a very warm welcome and a great breakfast to start the day. Easy commute to Lincoln for the Christmas Market. The owner, Richard, was most helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would have been excellent but for the creaking bed which, being a light sleeper, was...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. I wasn't aware of the problem with the metal bed frame until another guest pointed it out to us last week and it has now been rectified. Sorry it was a problem for you. Bet wishes, Richard and Alison

For those people that have wrote a negative review about this place I feel that they must have got serious issues. It can't be faulted. The breakfast was top quality and superbly presented. The establishment is extremely tasteful. The hospitality is second to none. The grounds are picturesque. Bless him Richard even took us to collect our car from where...

We are bowled away by your kind comments. What you both said to us before you left was genuinely appreciated and now even more so because you have taken the time to write this great review and tell other people about us. As I explained, the bottom line for us is to treat our guests as we would like to...

I was looking for somewhere special to stay near to Lincoln - and I found it! Fir Tree Cottage B and B is wonderful. The whole experience was perfect, from the friendly and helpful emails when booking, to the warm welcome on arrival and of course the stay itself. I was offered a choice of their two rooms (so I...

What a lovely little jem we have found. Great rooms, great owner, great breakfast. Just a great place to stay. Nice and clean with a great bathroom. We had the balcony room and enjoyed drinking a morning tea and taking in the beautiful surroundings.

We were attending a friend's party and booked this BB as it was near to the venue. It's much more than a convenience it's beautifully presented, great value for money and full of charm. If you are in the area or not it's worth a stop over.
