My wife and I wanted to take a vac and did not have the time to go out of the country this spring so we started looking for areas of Fla where we had never been. My wife travels for business a lot and receives a lot of points for her stays so we use them for our vac trips....

We recently stayed here in conjunction with a conference I was attending. We have stayed here before and we were always put in the Captiva building which is a short distance down the road from the main Sanibel building. If you prefer something a little quieter then the Captiva building is for you. We were always upgraded to a waterfront...

It's an ok place to stay. It offers pretty views and easy access to the causeway. The staff is friendly. Self parking was challenging at the end of the day and the garage is confusing. Upgrades in Sanibel tower are not stellar. You can see where they tore down wallpaper in the bathrooms and common hallways and slapped paint on...

We had 3 nights @ TheMarriott....in the main tower. Captive tower rooms are not to recommend. Need an update!!! The resort is nice, good breakfast and nice staff. Pools are perfect! Rooms are ok but also need some update soon. We have booked one night more here.

I was accompanying my wife on a business trip. Her company was having an event for a couple hundred people at this hotel and she went early for the preceding weekend and I stayed with her for about 4 days. The hotel main reception area does show rather nicely, with an open lobby area and plenty of windows with a...

We were really excited about this trip that we took to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad experience, I just had higher hopes for this place based on its internet presence. Our room was overall clean and had a lovely view of the bay. When we first got there and turned on the...

Had a great family spring break. This is one of the nicer spa and gym areas which is included in various fees. At one time a tennis mecca, now perhaps just a nice family hotel gym complete with Steam rooms, saunas, and co-ed cooling pools. The hotel overflows. Great staff, attentive, able to help. The pools are the main reason...

Room 1824 seemed to be the best on the property - got upgraded to it with Platinum status. Corner suite overlooking the bridge and gulf. Really enjoyed the waterfront bar (Charley's?). Great bar menu - loved the Buffalo chicken flatbread. Live music. The main building is about a 3 minute walk from the Captiva tower and they also have a...

The moment you walk through the sliding glass doors of the front entry, it's obvious why I love this resort. The doors slide, the view of the water appears, the bright lobby gleams, and the clean smell of the resort wafts. I don't know what the scent is but it's perfect. Coconut? Cleaning supplies? Fresh air? Who knows? I just...
